Review for /wrangler mens tall rugged relaxed

Price was 24. I'm 6'4" and over 280 , so i am hard to fit. I have looked for jeans that would fit me, be comfortable, and not shrink or stretch too much. . These wranglers meet the need! 'i will never give these up, not will i ever buy any other brand. I am sold on this particular brand and model, and i am good for the duration. . I bought one pair for testing them out. I then bought two more pair, and plan to get a half dozen more in the next year. I'll bve good for the next ten years or so, and i hope wrangler is in business then, because i will be back. (best arnold voice). . I highly recommend these. They seem to be much better made than what passes for levi's nowadays.

Thank you online store for carrying products in my size without gouging me on the price! i'm 6'6" and 280lbs. Finding jeans locally is impossible unless i go to the big and tall store, which to be fair i am big and tall. The problem is that the prices at these stores go way up because they know the products are harder to find locally. . These wrangler jeans fit as expected and are very comfortable. The black versions look good enough to wear in all but the most formal settings. The jeans hold up very well and i can usually get a good year plus out of each pair before they need to be retired. Overall very satisfied with the price and quality. I liked the general fit. However, the pant leg (30") which i usually order, was dragging on the ground. So i returned them and will order a smaller. Length. I didn't remeasure the pant leg. Who knows, maybe i'm shrinking? -Y. Mahood

  • They run large. I first ordered 48, but returned them for the 46. The return was smooth and easy. When the 46s came, i wore one pair for 3 days straight and then washed them. No shrinkage. Like all new jeans, they were a bit stiff, but the washing helped. . Recommended.
  • I needed new jeans and had considered a lot of options. I am a big guy and need jeans big jeans. I had looked a casual male xl and king size direct but i am not willing to pay $50+ for jeans that received poor quality reviews. I had always known of wrangler but previous experiences had me worried about the sizing and the durability. Those concerns were all dismissed upon receiving my package with these jeans. . I was very impressed that rather than run small like many clothing manufacturers, these jeans were somewhere between spot on and maybe a touch larger. Even though they were brand new, they felt broken in after one washing. The quality seems very high and as of yet i have not experienced any issues with them, having worn them several times now. . The only reason that i did not give this 5 stars is a small nitpicky thing on my part. The fly on these jeans is extra-ordinarily long. It practically runs from the button to the inseam. I have since gotten used to it but it may turn some people off. . These jeans are well worth trying out for yourself.
  • I measured myself w/inseam and determined i needed 30s. I got them, they are marked as 30s, but they are far longer than my current 48 x 32 jeans and they go past my freaking feet. I have to go get them hemmed now. I was expecting them to be true to size but, they are definitely *not* mislabeled. However, they are definitely not 30" jeans when they go past my feet (when my current 32" jeans go to only my heel without shoes on, and they are still slightly too long but not long enough that i have to have them hemmed). I have washed the new jeans and dried them twice in the dryer on maximum heat setting and they did not shrink at all. Not happy about the too-large thing but not much i can do. They are really good, high quality jeans though (other than that size issue) and that's why i am keeping them and having them hemmed rather than returning them.
  • These pants are very skimpy, it is not possible to even get them on, they should be relaxed fit and they are not even close, they are super slim fit, i wasted my money on these wranglers, someone at goodwill will be happy with a brand new pair of jeans because i can wear them. Lost $35 on the order. . Ordered a pair of dickies jeans at same time, same size and they fit good, in fact almost to big, but just the way i like them. I will not be buying any more wrangler, they do not work for me.
  • Ordered same size as before, belt loops have been downsized realy tough to get a standard mens belt through them. I washed and dryed both pair at the same time, one pair shrunk a full inch shorter than the other. Seems wrangler has cut some corners in the last couple of years. Not the same product purchased at wal. 2 years ago. One would almost consider these seconds. I wont be buying any more from online store.

Fit mostly as expected, around waste is very good, crotch just fine, legs are a bit too long and a smudge too restrictive in the upper leg. S if i go to raise my leg high for something, i can really feel the restriction. Very comfortable every other way. . The watch pocket is quite tiny, not sure it could hold a pocket watch, or much else. . Other than those two nits to pick, i really like the pants.

I ordered these a bit large, but they are a bit smaller than i expected. Of maybe i am a lotta bit fatter then i expected. Whatever the case may be, these are comfortable, that old fashioned jeans feel that i wore when i was a kid. I like them and would buy them again. I am not sure how much they will shrink, but if it is more than i expect. I will write an update to this post. . 02/17/2014-update. . Just tried the second pair of the order out. Well, i am surprised, these pants at 3 sizes smaller than the first pair. I won't be shopping on online store for any type of cloths again. Everything they got are irregulars and probably factory rejects. I am still having problems with getting my refund for the last order that i filed a complaint on. Online store seems to have turned into the local kmart or sears, you know, the place that never has your exact size and never gives the money back they conned out of you!"

Thank you ! , these jeans fit perfectly , i will be ordering more in the near future. The big and tall store here locally "closed" their door's and "i" found that i am able to get big & tall mens clothing. From online store. . I rate these a 6 or a 7. Off the chart ! . . Rory

First pair of jeans i've had in forever that fit me really well. They are comfortable to wear and have the perfect amount of stretch to them. I will be buying a couple more pairs for sure. Pockets might be a little small though if you have a large wallet or cell phone. For me though it's not an issue.

- Q. SusanaWrangler quality as expected but folks not everyone has a 31 inch inseam, as a consequence of being born a few inches short of what is apparently considered socially acceptable i have to therefore buy the paints and then take them to a tailor and spend more money to elevate the cuffs or just walk on them until they ware out in the right places.

These jeans are a lighter weight material than traditional. I believe that's where they get their "stretch". But they fit great and are really comfortable.

Wrangler Men's Rugged Wear Jean

I ordered the wrong cut, but the longer i wore them the more i liked them - since i normally buy at feed and ranch supply stores i was in a hurry and ordered a couple of pair on-line. Other than the fit, i can see no difference between these and retail, and am actually glad i made the mistake of ordering the wrong style. Since it's been about 4 months or so since i ordered these i think the review is valid - this is not one of those 'i just got them in the mail today and love them! " - this is a 'i got mine four months ago, sometimes wash them twice a day on a bad day - and they are as good as retail, and the sizing is perfect.

Jeans were just a little snug around the waist and just a touch longer in length than i wanted. Waist did stretch out a little after a few moments and was comfortable. After washing, length was a little better. Overall, nice jeans!

- Y. ReedI bought these jeans in four different colors for my son, who is tall, muscular and stocky. He doesn't like his jeans to fit baggy, but i have trouble finding jeans that fit his build without either bagging or being too slim. These are just slightly fuller through hips and thighs and straight (almost tapered) down to the ankles. . I especially liked the free prime shipping and free returns - like most males my son hates to shop and try on clothes. I was able to order two different sizes to figure out if these jeans would work for him, chase him until he gave up and tried them on, then return the ones we didn't like. Once we got the right size figured out, we ordered more. The fit is consistent in all the ones i ordered, which is sometimes a problem with clothes.

These jeans fit nicely. As with all wrangler jeans on my body, though, i find it difficult to use the rear pockets as they seems to sit high. Good in that i'm not sitting on my wallet. Bad in that i now keep my wallet in my front pocket as it was too hard to get it out of the rear pocket for my taste. Why the 5 star rating? great jeans that make me happy at a good price. This is not my first pair and i'd likely order more.

I will clarify my judgement call. The inseam was stated at 28" but is slightly over 29". I prefer not "cuffing" my jeans. . The fit in the seat is somewhat baggy but can live with that. A plus is the smoothness of the zipper! this is my fourth. Pair of these jeans and for the money i still consider them a bargain and will probably buy more when these wear out. Excellent construction, very durable. These pants last an extremely long time. Very good buy for your money, almost never has any fading or tearing until years after buying them. Only problem is that occasionally you get a pair that doesn't stretch as much as the others resulting in a less comfortable fit, but this is very rare. I've bought four pairs in the last few months (three on online store) and only one hasn't fit that well, despite them all being the same size.

Extra belt loops in the areas that needs it, triple stitching on the loops. Fits perfect in the legs. These are one of the few non designer jeans that i can buy that fit my profile. Big legs smaller waste. So far they have held up wonderful. Be wary when ordering though, there are two products that are listed almost identical but are not meant for big and tall. I believe its called men's rugged wear versus men's big rugged wear.

L. Susana, Massachusetts

I hope wrangler never changes this design. It is what i am used to, it is what i like denim jeans to feel like and they last for a long, long time. I always buy at least two pair. The oldest are my paint pants, the ones i purchased a year and a half ago are my construction pants and the latest purchase are my going out in public dress up pants!

S. Sandra, Colorado says

So long levis. You refuse to keep my size/style in stock because you're pandering to the "stylish folk" so buh-bye. Wrangler gets my business now. Fit is better than i remember. Bought one, liked'em, bought another pair, and i'll be buying another pair soon.

. Elanor, Kensington and Chelsea

My husband likes the feel of the jeans and they fit true to size. They are cut very generous in the backside. So, if you don't have much of a butt, they might be a bit saggy looking. I personally thought they were higher waisted than other wrangler jeans, but not so dramatically that they look odd.

. Julia, Tameside says

My husband always has issues finding pants that fit right. He says the waist in these is just at the right height and there's plenty of inseam to not feel constricted and be able to bend/squat comfortably. The black overdyed did not bleed in the wash and i look forward to buying him more pairs.

B. Edith, Pennsylvania

As a large man it's very hard to find clothes that either don't fit like a tarp or break the bank in order to purchase it. So i was really reluctant but also desperate. This pair of jeans fit great, looked great, and i was able to go out on the town w/o resorting to "stretchy pants. " there was a minor defect with the stitching in one of the front pockets, but nothing to concern about. Very pleased

G. Zelda, Oregon says

I've usually found wrangler jeans to fit me better than most other brands, though i'm perfectly willing to buy any brand that looks ok and fits well. I have been wearing these almost daily for a while, and they show no obvious signs of wear. The fit is a tiny bit more snug than a pair i bought a few years ago, but they're still comfy. All in all, they're good jeans and you can't go wrong with them if comfort and durability are your purchase goals.

D. Cunningham, Camden

I needed some jeans. I didn't want $500 "fashion" jeans because, well, i work and play outside. I needed jeans that move with me, more or less, not contribute overly to crotch rot when it is humid like any summer day in holly springs, mississippi. I would buy them again.

. Morgan, Sunderland says

Ok, i wear a 44x30 pant. It can be hard to find that locally, and sometimes it can be problematic ordering them on-line. You never know what you'll get. . These fit perfectly. I'm used to dockers, so i wasn't sure what to expect, but these are pretty much like the old levi's pants i used to wear many years ago. A substantial denim fabric that isn't too soft or too stiff. It's just right. . Really good workmanship too. These will last a few years. . Definitely for casual wear, but they are cut very nicely so that they aren't too baggy anywhere, yet there is plenty of room to move around and stretch, bend over, etc. . I knew they were good when i put them on and didn't want to take them off. Recommended.

I. Rita, City of Bristol

I knew my size as i had a previous pair. They are comfortable but i sometimes reach into the right pocket and catch the watch pocket instead. It is not deep enough to put much in so you need to feel for the real pocket. My older pair has developed a small hole after several washings but i don't know if it is a defect or minor damage. These are somewhat thinner fabric than the old fashioned wranglers but that may contribute to the comfort. I noticed some sandy residue in the pockets until they have been washed a couple of times. I am guessing they are tumbled in sand to soften them up. I like them well enough that i got another pair.

. Brendon, New Mexico says

These are great and last a long time. I'm too tall and thick in the thigh for the uniform pants my company uses. These wranglers are very comfortable and are a true 38" waist. At 6'7", 280lbs i'm a 38/38 and these are perfectly sized. (if not a touch long in socks, perfect in shoes or boots). The black is very black but doesn't come off in the wash. Overall, they've been my steady work pants for years. I recommend them no problem.

F. Olga, Languedoc-Roussillon says

Always been a big fan of wrangler jeans but when i say these i was surprised by the 14 inch zipper. Yes i am a big man size 56 and no i do not wear the pants above the belly line i like it under the belly and the zipper was so long i thought they sent me women's pregnancy pants. Other that the zipper i love the look, style and color of these and plan on ordering more when i lose some weight

. Lorenz, West Berkshire

My husband loves these jeans. Since he wears a size 36 waist and 38 long i have to special order them. The price and quality can not be better. My only complaint is one of the 5 pairs i ordered were sewn weird so the seam runs down the front of his right calf. Since we have ordered at least 15 pairs of these jeans over the years it isn't much of an complaint. Other then that they are wonderful, durable, easy to find in special sizes, and my man's backside looks marvelous.

Z. Watson, Maryland says

My husband is 6'9". Need i say more! even though he is slim, and medium build, the length is hard to find, and expensive when yoou do find it. Online store solved that problem! these jeans were perfect, and he looks great in them! no more fighting a crowd and getting disappointed in the mall! he can now get a 38 or 40 (depending on the style) at a more normal and expected price! thanks, online store!

U. Eleanor, Oklahoma

Wrangler really knows how to make great jeans as mine not only fit perfect but were comfortable too, i wore these to work in today and i had plenty of room to move and bend. I really prefer the relaxed fit over the regular fit 5 stars for wrangler & online store too, thanks will order more as jits hard to find my size at the local retail stores. As i am a big guy and happy too!

N. Kristen, North Carolina says

I had to order these jeans one size larger in the waist and one size shorter in length for the proper fit. Now that i've figured out the correct sizing, i like them enough to order a second pair. I wish they had more colors to choose from. . I typically wear a 33 inch inseam, which isn't available in these jeans. So, i originally ordered a 34 just to be safe. The pants were so long, they covered up nearly 2/3 of my foot! i measured the inseam, and they were precisely 34 inches. So, there must be something about the cut of the upper portion of the pants that makes the legs fit too long. I returned that pair and re-ordered at the revised size. Now they fit perfectly. . Once you get the sizing right, these jeans are very comfy and they seem to be made of quality materials. Only time will tell how durable they are.

These are my husband's every day jeans. They last for years, the new pairs are built just as well as the ones he is still wearing after 7 years, my guy is a big & tall. So having the range of sizes is a must have. He is also really hard on his clothes. He tinkers on things & builds projects whenever he has finally worn them to shreds he lets me have them to tear into strips for rag rugs, so these jeans will be completely used up when we are done with them - and it will take many years before he is ready to let me release their inner rag rug. :)

C. Patton, Gloucestershire says

The fit excellent, have a very comfortable feeling jeans material and also have nice deep pockets. I have some old wrangler relaxed fit but their pockets are very shallow, not these new ones! very very comfortable, i highly recommend them! i used to be a levi's jeans man, not anymore! lastly the price was lower than expected and much lower than any levi's!

I ordered these jeans one size larger in the waist, due to the expected shrinkage other reviewers have warned about. After all these are made out of 100% cotton denim. Cotton is not polyester, so allow for some shrinkage. Its normal and to be expected. . So far after only one wash and dry cycle i have not noticed much shrinkage with the vintage indigo color style. This is beautiful color by the way. I highly recommend it. These are a little bit puffy in the crotch area, but i am hoping after some break-in and shrinkage they should fit just about perfect. . These are made out of heavy weight denim, so it's also a little bit stiff at first. That is also to be expected and they should soften up with use. I expect these jeans to give me years of service. Highly recommended!

I'm happy to announce that the jeans that i bought are a few inches too big, lol. Same size that i bought last year and i knew they might be a bit large, but i wanted some extra room while traveling. Good thing i had my nice john deere suspenders john deere men's 2" logger style suspender, john deere green, one size with me or i'd have been pulling them up all day in nyc. Good quality jeans though, been buying them for years. If i had longer legs it would be nice, but i guess that's beyond the scope of wrangler's concern.

X. Terry, South Australia

I bought the 48x28 jeans as i am short and stout, and like my jeans to sit at my waist where i am biggest. The fit was great, and the length is true. There is plenty of room in the seat without being overly baggy. The thighs are roomy, a big bigger as these are work jeans meant for a lot of flexibility. (i don't get longer jeans and shorten them because that leaves too long a rise for a short guy like me. I have to buy them online to get the wider/shorter size. ) overall i love these jeans. I must emphasize that the fabric is on the heavier side so might be warm in summer, but should be extra durable. Also, like other reviewers pointed out, the fly zipper goes almost all the way to the crotch, which seems excessively log, but isn't really noticable once one has the pants on. I love the vintage indigo color too, which will look nicer for dressing these up. Lastly, the price here was just as good or better than i would get in a store.

O. Lynette, Telford and Wrekin says

Ordered it for a cousin who is a big guy. He absolutely loved them! . True to size and great quality. He also likes that there is just the right number of belt loops. If there aren't enough loops or if they aren't spaced correctly, the belt slides up and rubs on bare skin. There was no shrinkage after washing in warm water and drying on medium heat.

Being a fat guy in canada, i find it hard to find clothes that fit which are reasonably priced. So i had to order these pants from the usa online store website, because online store canada was too expensive. Even taking into consideration the duty and customs fees and the currency exchange. I am very pleased. They fit perfectly and are good quality with a low price tag.

. Matherly, Slough says

My husband is 6'7" and a large guy. Buying jeans for him is usually a difficult and expensive proposition. Yeah, even walmart has a big and tall section, but like most places, they assume if you are tall, you are skinny. So, if i find jeans that fit his waist, they are too short. If they are long enough, the waist is too small. And, jeans are part of his work uniform. . I bought these because they were inexpensive enough to take the risk. They fit him perfectly. Long enough, big enough, roomy enough. Who could ask for anything better? and they look good on him too. Not baggy, but not too tight.

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

H. Erin, Stoke-on-Trent says

I had a belt loop tear out during the second week i owned them. Seems like they made the loops narrower, which focuses more stress/inch on the stitching and it tore the fabric, not the stitching. I expected more from pants that were specifically made for big and tall men and it even says "rugged wear" on the label. Ripping out belt loops within 2 weeks of purchase isn't exactly what i call "rugged. ". . I patched them as best i could and am still wearing them as work pants.

D. April, Hillingdon

I bought these jeans less than two months ago. The fourth belt loop (above the left rear pocket) broke loose from the bottom seam which was supposed to secure it to the panel below the waistband. This is a defect in the manufacture of this product. I have six pairs of these jeans (all same size and same relaxed fit cut). All have the very same belt loop pulled loose at the bottom seam below the waistband. Wrangler, you have a faulty product and you've done nothing to correct it in over six years that i have worn these jeans exclusively. I guess it's time to search levi's and see what they have to offer. I have read other reviewers that have also pointed out this product defect. Update: it has been three months since these jeans were delivered. They have torn at a non-stress area. The weave of the fabric parted and opened a tear about two inches long (see photo). The tear is in the rear just above and inboard of the left pocket. This is not uncommon. I also have another pair of these jeans (somewhat older) that have a tear in the weave in the front just to the left of the zipper. Again this is a non-stress area. Wrangler quality is not what it once was. Second update: i've been wearing these jeans for a while. I had another pair that i wore for about 27 months. This is fairly sedentary wear. Mostly sitting! the second photo below shows the holes that appeared in a non-stress area next to the zipper. The smaller hole (about two inches) appeared and i ignored it for a couple of weeks. Then the second rip (about six inches) finished the jeans off. I remember when jeans used to last until you out-grew them. The only place the fabric ever failed was in the knees or the seat. That's not the case with these wrangler jeans. Oh, by the way, you can't see it in this photo, but the belt loop over the left rear pocket also tore loose on this pair too.

When i have gone shopping for jeans in the stores, i have, for several years, always looked for wranglers, and always looked for a specific size with a specific label: wrangler men's relaxed-fit 44x32. The word 'relaxed' is printed on the inside label near the size. When i've bought 44x32 regular, the fit is off enough that i get lower back pain. When i couldn't find what i was looking for at my favorite retail outlet, i turned to online store and found the jeans pictured above. Perfect, i said. Ordered them and, a couple of days later, there they were. There was a clear plastic tape on the outside that said, 'relaxed'. This was missing, however, from the inside label. Tried them on and, nope, didn't fit right. Thought about sending them back, but then i thought, well, i could lose some weight and they'd fit right. Haven't lost the weight and the jeans still don't fit right. It is now 4 months later and i can't decide if i am more mad about not losing the weight or the mislabeled jeans. I think it is the jeans right now.

V. Marguerite, Hawaii

The inseam is one inch longer than stated. It is one inch longer than lee and two inches longer than ll bean jeans, all "relaxed fit" and the same size specifications. The bean jeans are more relaxed than the other two brands. As a snugger fit, the wranglers press against the inside of the knee when crouching. Several reviews stated that inseam length was a problem but i took a chance and lost a bit because they are wranglers. Rather than the bother and expense of a return, decided to put that toward alteration. $24 seemed like a good price, but will not buy again because of the unreliable inseam length.

. Newell, Enfield says

Prefer a low rise, or something that sits a little lower. Jeans fit well otherwise, great quality, just the waistline was about an inch or so above the belly button.

. Pearce, Sachsen

Looked and fit great out of the package. Washed cold, line dry and the still shrunk so bad i will send them to good will.

S. Cindy, Bradford says

I bought these for my father who cannot shop by himself. His wife, my mother, passed away and he needed these pants for church. He loves wranglers but is unable to find this size where he lives. I live about 5 hours away from and thought i could ship them to him because i cannot always get there as soon as he wants. I have bought several other things for him and had them shipped to him. These pants stated 50 x 28 but they were about 6 inches to long. Not sure if they were just miss labeled or what. I will try to contact the company to straighten this out.

F. Rebecca, Barnsley

These the gastric just fell apart! tiny holes just started popping up after a couple washes all over the front pocket area and more keep developing! useless beyond 2nd wear.

C. Sandra, Wolverhampton says

Oder-ed wrangler shorts in the same waist size and they fit fine. However these pants i couldn't even get buttoned and almost thought i was shipped a wrong size. Tag still said 46x32 but came no where near to being sized correctly. Also the zipper has small teeth and is very hard to zip and seems like it will break easily and not likely to stand up.

U. Lorenz, Leicestershire

These are supposed to be relaxed fit jeans. The bottom hems of these jeans are so tight they look like my pants are "pegged". Remember doing that? comfortable and nice looking otherwise, just not what i know as "relaxed" from other companies.

O. Cecilia, Missouri says

I've ordered the same size jeans from several brands including levi's and ralph lauren. Wrangler jeans are at least a size too small given the same sizing on the label. I also don't like the pockets because they're not as deep or as wide as other jeans. My hand barely fits inside when it's empty and i can only get a couple of fingers around my wallet when it's in there. I want to try getting used to these anyway since the quality of levi's denim these days is so poor that it literally falls to pieces.

G. Adrienne, Alsace

I ordered a size 66. The crotch is long and hangs low compared to other jean brands i've worn. With it hanging low it makes my thighs shift wierd when i walk, as if there is some sort of pressure when i extended my legs i ordered these to work in. Wish the legs near crotch were a little wider for a big man. I walk about 10-15 miles a day at work outside. The denim fabric is thick which i'm grateful for due to winter setting in and will keep me a little warmer until its time to wear insulated bibs

A. Yvette, Oregon says

I love these jeans-especially for the price but i ordered a 30" inseam. They arrived with a 34"+ inseam even though the label said 30".

E. Barbara, Richmond upon Thames

I know i am spoiled by having levi's loose fitting jeans for so long, but times are changing and with kids, mortgage and everything else, i needed to find a way to cut down on spending and jeans lost. . These jeans are an ok fit, a little tight in the crotch/thighs, but that could just be that levi's relaxed fit are truly relaxed fit, whereas these are just a little looser than the normal. . All in all, if you can afford the $50+ for levi's, go that route, otherwise, these do the job.

T. Peggy, Vermont says

A little tight for me in the thighs. I went to the lee loose fit and was much happier with them. Granted, these are "relaxed fit" and not "loose fit", but still not a fan.

. Williams, Surrey

I already have the same jeans in a different color, size 44x30 they fit really well but the length a bit too much for me. So i wanted the exact same jeans but slightly shorter. So i ordered 44x28, but it turns out just reducing the length also dramatically changes the fitting. . Now the length is fine but, the fitting is terrible, the seat is a bit tight and overall is very uncomfortable. I really like the previous pair but this just sucks. I feel like i have wasted 27 dollars :(

M. Harrison, West Virginia says

Ordered a waist size up from advice in previous reviews . Pants were huge also the 30" inseam which i normally order was about 4 inches too long. Have to return and reorder. The quality seemed excellent for the price though.

. Dorothy, Texas

Very heavy and somewhat scratchy. Hopefully, a few washings will soften them.

X. Sally, Torbay says

I'm shaped pretty weirdly so my pants are always falling down, but a belt fixes the issue.

Y. Walsh, Colorado

These just don't hold up like they used to. I wish i could recommend these, but in my opinion they have decided to meet a price point at the expense of quality. Wrong choice if you want my business. It's far less expensive to pay a few dollars more to get a product that will hold up. It takes the same amount of time to sew either, so the difference is in the quality of the cotton used. It does not cost that much more to make a quality product, and i am willing to pay for the difference in prise. I have no plans to buy wranglers again, previously these were my go to brand for some 30 years.

R. Smith, Peterborough says

This is a very heavy, well made series of jean. Too heavy, in my opinion, for everyday use by non-tradesmen. However, i imagine these are just what the doctor ordered if you're a hard-working laborer such as a roofer, carpenter, mason, etc. Where you're on your knees frequently in cold weather and require a thick product. But for wearing around the house, it's like lugging around an extra 10 pounds on your body. This is not why i sent back the jeans however. These jeans do not fit like wrangler's standard line of big mens relaxed fit jeans sold at retail stores like walmart for about $18. They are cut smaller than that product throughout the waist, seat, and legs, requiring a larger size than you normally wear. Even one waist size bigger is not enough. In my experience, the standard $18 wrangler big mens relaxed fit jean in size 58 x 28 still fits me fine. So don't be confused as i was: the wrangler extra big rugged wear relaxed fit series fits quite differently than the wrangler big mens relaxed fit jean.

. Anonymous, Tasmania

There is some chemical in these jeans that caused a bad skin irritation. I immediately stopped wearing them. It's only with the wrangler brand jeans. Maybe they're fakes. I've never had an issue with jeans in my life.

Z. Parker, Dorset says

I ordered a 54 waist and the rear pockets seemed like a direct clone of a 30, i could only get my fingertips in there. No, i don't need to put my whole hands inside, but with these only a thin wallet would fit. I say when they make the pants bigger they should make the pockets proportionally bigger too. It would not only be more practical but would improve the "look". To my eye, rear jeans pockets should both start from about 2-3 inches from the center seam and be sized big enough to cover most of the butt. At wrangler they start the small pockets about 2" from the 2 side seams and then that's it, leaving a big empty butt space.

K. Lisa, North Tyneside

All my jeans are wrangler and while the waist was spot on as usual, these were a whole inch shorter than the tag indicated so i sent them back

J. Neva, Gateshead says

These run really oversize everywhere but in the waist , which shrinks really quickly after a few washings. The material is not very sturdy and snags quite easily on things. For the price , there are other options within the price range.

Q. Amanda, Poitou-Charentes

Ordered two pairs of black wrangler men's big & tall rugged wear relaxed fit jeans. One pair had places where color had significantly washed out on initial laundry washing. No change in two subsequent laundry washings. The other pair came out of initial laundry washing okay, but i'm hesitant to wear it and put through the laundry washing again.

L. Janice, Leeds says

. Yeah, got theses for my african-american 6'-5" male companion who wears a 40" waist. Not comfortable in the waist (tight), and they could stand to be a little more relaxed from the hips down for comfort, ya feel me. But the length was there ; -). Ha!

I. Cunningham, Bracknell Forest

After wearing jeans 3 times, washed and dried 3 times . 4th wearing jeans ripped from knee area to pocket. Not on seam. Fabric just split right up leg. Never saw any jeans split in this manor. Must have been flaw in material. Can not return because he waited for cooler weather to wear.

N. Emma, Trafford says

I have very muscular legs, and i can't pull these on. I don't know why most jeans nowadays are fit for skinny little twerps, if i buy "big and tall", i expect to fit into them. I know i need to lose weight, and i guess i can't be fashionable while i'm working on it.

. Rochelle, East Riding of Yorkshire

These are not the "wranglers" you can buy at local big box stores. They are cut a little different and are a little less "roomy" in the crotch, you have to be careful with your "positioning" when moving around. I bought these because no one carries 46 x 28 jeans locally, in the future i'll just go back to buying 46 x 30 and paying a local seamstress to shorten the leg length.
