Timberland Pro Men’s Direct Attach Six-inch Soft-toe Boot (tb065030713) 1243

Review for /timberland pro direct six inch soft toe

Price was 93. I have another pair of timberland pro work boots which i have had for several years, those being non-insulated safety-toes. They are absolutely the best work boots i've ever owned, so when i needed to replace my insulated ones, back to timberland i went. I first purchased a pair of these in 9. 5 normal width, the same as my others. When received, i was disappointed. These were much narrower, and uncomfortable, so i sent them back. I searched for others, but couldn't find the right combination of features and price, so i took a gamble and ordered these again, but in the 9. 5 wide. These are warm and comfortable (but not as comfortable as the titans). These i wear for several hours, but am ready to take them off afterward, where the titans are all-day capable. I'm considering trying some different insoles. Perhaps that will help. . For the money spent, and for my purposes, these are adequate, but for someone spending all day in them i'd probably suggest an upgrade.

Preamble

I bought these for my husband, who is a farmer, two years ago. I had to come searching through my history again to find them because he loves them so much. He said these boots held up better than $250 boots he's bought in the past. They held up great after everyday use and were very water proof. He's finally worn through the pair he has and we are buying another pair! This is my second pair of the brown boots, and i'm ready to buy a pair of black. I find these to be the most comfortable boots i've owned, and have no problem walking 5-10 miles at a time in them right out of the box. I buy them in my normal shoe size and they fit just as i'd expect. -Z. Rowe

PROS
  • Possibly the best work boots i have ever owned. I have had them for a year and it is time to replace them. They are still very comfortable and supportive, but i have worn through the soles and the leather is cracking. This has nothing to do with the durability of the boots and everything to do with the fact that i work with concrete and i have never oiled the leather. They required very little break in. The insulation is effective in winter and not any hotter than any other boots in summer. The waterproofing worked well and held up well. The best part is that once these boots are broken in, they are very comfortable. I am pretty sure i could run a 10k in them with a sore spot or blister. 5 stars!
  • Best pair of boots i've brought in a few years. Timberland really does make a great boot. Very comfortable aside from the inserts. I use custom orthodox in all my shoes but these are god for cold weather. They have great insulation in them. They're a bit heavier than what i'm use to but i'll get use to it. Great product and i got them on a heck of a deal. I'm sure these will last me for years to come. Thanks online store!
CONS
  • I like these boots a lot but i've only had them for a few weeks, so we'll see how they wear. My only complaint at the moment is the ample amount padding on the interior. It's great when i'm in motion, but hurts like hell when i'm standing in one place, or not actively moving. . Update: 1 year later. After a year of daily wear, i still like the boots but there are some disappointing developments. Through normal wear, the heel developed a hole. One day i heard a squishing sound when i walked. I later realized that water had gotten into my sole and was making the noise. . Update: 13 months later. Had to walk through ankle high wet grass, water soaked through the boot, socks got wet. Lowered rating to 1.
  • Bought these boots last year around christmas time, the inside broke down and tore within 2 or 3 month and now as of yesturday, 6/17/2015 the outside on one of the boots is separating for the sole of the boot! would love to be able to contact the seller but can't seem to find a way to contact them, imagine that! don't buy these boots, i thought timberland was a durable brand but i guess that can; t with stand a tire and lube shop! had wal-mart boots last longer!
  • Had several pairs over a few years. I have searched and searched for the right work boot throughout my auto technician career. I have bought 11 pairs of these in the last 5-6 years. I am the kind of person who likes to have plenty of rubber between my feet and the ground. These fit the bill perfect. I can wear these in the shop all day at work and also do yard work on rough terrain on the weekends. They are great for both. . Timberlands were on backorder at a major boot website, so i came here and ordered a pair. When i checked "somewhat small" i am implying they are a bit narrow, but about 3 days they stretch out perfect.

Modeled from timberland's classic style work boot, the direct attach has it all and then some. With all of its comfort and hardworking technology, you would think this rugged waterproof, leather boot had a mind of its own.

I have three other pairs of timberland shoes. I ordered the boots in the same size as my shoes, 9 1/2, and they fit perfect. I wore them to work the day after they arrived and haven't stopped wearing them. They are the most comfortable boots i've ever owned. I should mention i received a complement on them that first day. Hey, they looked new. I'm planning on buying a tan colored pair. . 12-19-15. One of my co workers was admiring my boots on this wet seattle morning. I have worn these every day to work in the winter and to ride my motorcycle in the summer. I used sno seal on them this fall and they keep my feet dry.

Wore them for over 6 years before they started to wear out. Replaced them with another identical pair but continued to wear the old ones another 2 years afterward. Just to the point now 8 years later where i need to consider throwing the old ones out because the soles are so worn they hurt my feet and my socks get soaked when it rains. I usually buy the cheapest of everything especially when it comes to footwear, but it has proven to be worth a couple extra bucks when it comes to the longevity and comfort of these boots."

(0) Question: Sorry, but soft toe means this is not safety boots?

(1) Question: These say soft toes in the title. they do have steel toes, correct?

(2) Question: Are these fitted for flat feet?

I had bought a pair of these at a shoe store so i knew what size to buy. I have had them for 4 years now and they are finally starting to show their age. These are the best boots i have ever owned! i work in a factory and am on my feet for 8-10 hours a day. I was wearing these boots from day 1. Comfortable right out of the box with virtually no beak in period. I was buying a new pair of work boots every 1-2 years. These have outlasted everything else i have tried, including red wings. Everything about the boot is still intact. No holes, tears, splits or separations. I should get another 1-2 years out of them. I clean them a couple times a year and apply a coating of mink oil. The only negative i can say is the inside foot padding wore out rather quickly. I bought a pair of boot insoles and have had no further problem. I caught them on sale so i already have my next ready pair ready for when my old ones finally give out. Timberland pro pit boss is a no brainer for me, its the only boot i will purchase. Outstanding wear for a great price.

Timberland Pro Men's 6 Pit Boss Soft Toe (tb033030231) FAQ.

Not much to say except for that they are built for taking a beating as well as all-day comfort. I ordered in an 11. 5 and they fit perfectly. I have always trusted timberland, whether it be boots or clothing. I have owned and still own several pairs of timberland boots and will most likely never buy another brand. The are very durable and last long without losing support. Will definitely order another pair. . I compared these against the ariat work boot. Timberland came out ahead again. In fit, comfort and value these boots can not be beat in my opinion. . I paired these boots with the timberland pro crew cool touch socks. Perfect combination. -Notice from I. Powell, South Tyneside

I had a pair of wolverines as my first work boots that fell apart within the first 6 months, same thing happened to a coworker of mine. Separated uppers from the sole. I wore those stinking leather rags on my feet for the next 3 years. I finally upgraded to these. These were a little cheaper than what i paid for my wolverines and are infinitely better. My feet feel fine after a 9 hour shift and i can tell you that these boots feel very strong and sturdy. I had some pains my first week as others have mentioned from the seam of the heel piece rubbing on my ankle. I no longer feel that and i think all boots have some amount of break in time. I've only owned these a few months but i'm pretty sure i'd buy them again.

- Y. ZeldaIt took years to wear out my previous timberland boots - very same model - these look like they've got years in them too. Perfect, comfortable fit from the very start.

My favorite work boots. I bought a second pair so i can alternate. Comfortable, breathable it seems as even after wearing them all day feet aren t feeling like i have to get these things off. Like some workboots have felt on me. Try them!

Timberland PRO Men's 6 Pit Boss Steel Toe

I got a job working in a plant in august of 2014 so obviously i needed a pair of steel toe shoes which were mandatory. I did not have much money so i made an amateur move and purchased some steel toe die hard shoes from kmart. I will not go into deep detail about the die hard's, but i will say that i found myself buying a new pair of the same die hard shoes and replacing them around every three months and they were around $29. 99 a pair. My timberland pro men's pitboss 6" steel toes did not come in until november 2015 so if you do the math, that is right, i owned 5, yes, five, pair of die hard steel toe shoes (sometimes even doubling up) within a year and three months time so i dished out about $150. 00 on those shoes altogether. So those shoes were not meant to hold up walking 8 - 12 hours on concrete for 40 hours a week. I finally decided i was tired of buying new steel toe shoes every three months and spending that type of money so i decided to do some research and came past this product and the difference is night and day. This is my sixth month owning these steel toe boots and they are still holding together great. I have absolutely no complaints. After breaking them in they are a lifesaver. . As i said, this is my sixth month owning this boot and it is still holding together nicely. I really like the way these boots lace up to the top of the ankles. It makes for a very good tight fit and you rarely have to worry about retying your shoe during your job. I like how tough they are. It has been six months and by now i would have spent $60. 00 on the die hard steel toes because they would have been worn out, ripping apart, and the steel for the toes being exposed or even popping out. These boots they are still intact, a few scratches, but nothing to complain about it is what comes with the territory. These boots are comfortable. When i was wearing my die hard steel toes i would come home every day and my feet would be in serious pain and be very sensitive. Now these boots do not take away the pain of walking around on concrete for 40 hours a week, but they do well absorbing the shock of walking and giving protection for your feet. The break in period did not take long at all so you will not have to worry about that. I have only one negative feedback and that is the color on the boot seemed very faded and made me question whether i received a knockoff or a already worn pair, but nothing that takes away from the quality of the product. Also i would like to suggest that if you do buy a pair of these boots that you own some socks that go up mid-knee because wearing ankle socks the material of the boot will irritate the achilles. . Do not be like me. Go out there and get yourself a good pair of work boots. You will save yourself a lot of money, time, and frustration in the process. Besides the faded color of the boots upon receiving there are not any real complaints i can come up with about this product. This is truly a top of the class work boot fit to do long hours of hard labor. I cannot really say i love these boots the only way that would happen is if it took away the pain from my feet entirely, but i will give credit when its due and say that it has help reduce the pain significantly. I hope this review helped. If you were on the fence about buying these, trust me, do it, you will not be disappointed. I would also like to give online store's 3d virtual fit measurements a quick mention. I was very skeptical, but the boots ended up fitting just fine.

You've also go an unsurpassed traction-grip for working on wet or slippery surfaces and electronic hazard protection to keep you safe from open circuits. On the comfort front, a removable sock liner proves blisters don't have to go hand-in-hand with hard work. And finally, these boots aren't anything if they aren't tough. Go ahead, just try and wear them out.

Timberland Pro Men's 6 Pit Boss Steel Toe (33034) FAQ.

This is my second pair of timberland pro boots, and all i can say is wow. These boots are incredibly comfortable and durable. The steel-toe doesn't obstruct my toes in any way, but keeps them safe and sound whenever something is dropped on them (happens more often than it should). I recommend these boots to all of my colleagues, as they meet our shops standards, are comfortable and durable, and are pretty stylish for protective/anti-slip footwear. Highly recommend these boots to any laborers, or just someone looking for an awesome pair of boots. -Notice from S. Pamela, Blackburn with Darwen

I've worn these boots for years, at a job where i would spend 90% of the day on my feet. Yes, they are hefty and are not "lightweight" by any means, but i have found that it's one small downside against the many upsides. . The steel toes are probably the main factor in the high weight, but the benefits of that are obvious. I'm sure that if i didn't wear steel-toe boots at work i would have seriously damaged my feet a long time ago. Besides good protection, these shoes also have a good amount of cushion and support, which also does add to the weight. . The last pair of boots i bought i decided to try a different brand because they felt much lighter. After wearing them for a while, i have discovered that they are much less comfortable than the timberlands. So i guess it's ultimately up to the wearer to decide what they prefer: lightweight or comfortable. I think for me, the weight isn't so bad. . The one downside i found is that they run a bit small, so i had to get a half-size up from my sneaker size. Otherwise, i have no complaints and i will continue wearing timberland pro boots for work.

Timberland-pro-men's-6-pit-boss-steel-toe-(33034) set picture

- . PalmerBought the boot on my foot back om august 14th, 2015. I have finally worn through the sole of the foot. I have cur these boots with razor blades and saws and grinders. By accident obviously. Never ripped or come unthreaded. I've had dewalt, among other brands and they never last a year. These boots lasted over two years, and i'm still going to wear them around the yard. But i want thicker soles again for work consider to do carpentry. Lots of nails. I wear these boots 6 days a week and even sometimes on sunday. I am super pressed.

Works great for construction site visits and volunteering shifts once a month, things like that. Not super comfortable that i would want to wear them every day but works great and looks professional for what i need it for.

Carhartt Men's Quilted Flannel Lined Sandstone Active Jacket J130

I love my carhartt's for when i'm out and about and the weather is a little bad. Since my old one was dying (about 12 years old and really just frayed in different spots and looking a little ratty) i decided to get a new one. Another great coat, mybiggest complaint is that the quited variety is for really cold weather and makes the coat a little stiff. I like it and it's still great for moving through brush or anthing else like that but not as flexable as the old one.

Built to go the distance on long work days, carhartt's sandstone active jac is constructed with rugged 12-ounce, 100 percent cotton sandstone duck. The body and hood are lined in quilted flannel, and the sleeves are lined in quilted nylon. For comfort and convenience, there are two inside pockets as well as two deep hand-warmer pockets.

Carhartt Men's Quilted Flannel Lined Sandstone Active Jacket J130 (j130 301) FAQ.

What i like the most is the warmth and the heavy duty outer shell. I like the fit but because my hips are narrow the waist is a little too big but i can live with that. It also allows me to wear a sweatshirt underneath without feeling constricted. I ordered a medium based on the size recommendations and i am glad i did. -Notice from . Whiteman, Newham

My husband had been talking about getting this particular jacket because it wasn't stiff, it fit right, and it didn't ride up in the back. He wasn't willing to buy it from a store because they never had his size in the color that he wanted. I found it on online store and it was perfect. He wears it everyday that it is under 40 degrees and this morning it is almost down to 10 degrees and he can work outside and be warm in it. Hopefully this wears as well as his other carhart products.

- B. LaraSubstantial coat, nice hood. Very warm. The fabric repels more than absorbs water, and the jacket is very warm. I have a matching set of bib overalls, and this is a very good combination for inclement weather and all four seasons.

These jackets are huge. I am 5'9" 175lbs and ordered large originally without reading the size chart (100% my fault) and was swimming in the jacket it was so big. Thankfully they offer free returns. Reordered the jacket in medium and its still a bit bulky but not too bad. Amazingly comfortable jacket (soft lining) with nice big sturdy hood and very durable material. My beefs with the jacket are the small outter pockets and the zipper allows wind through the seam. Would be nice if the zipper had a strip of that outter material on the inside to prevent wind seeping through.

Timberland PRO Men's Anti-Fatigue Technology Replacement Insole

The product came in a shoe box and wrapped in a nice clamshell blister pack that is easy to open and would not cause you any blisters. . It fits comfortably after i cut it to the size of my shoes' original sole insert. It is flat and is not contoured to the shape of the old insert so it does not hug the heel and the arch out of the box, but it is flexible enough to follow the shape of the inside of the shoe so it still feels comfortable. . I have plantar fasciitis and this product seems to be helping me not hurt anymore. Of course, i still need to stretch my ankles, my hamstrings, and my hips before i run otherwise my foot would still hurt. But it is a nice and bouncy run afterwards with the soft cushioning and arch support that this product greatly provides. . As i said in the title, this product could perform well in an industrial setting, but the insert also smells industrial. I could not tell if it's the rubber or the fabric that covers the sole where the foot rests. It must be the anti-microbial odor control feature, since the strong smell could really beat the natural smell of an active athlete's feet.

The timberland pro anti-fatigue technology insoles are very unique because they have an inverted cone design that is lightweight and supportive. They feature a superior shock absorption and energy return. These insoles are anatomically contoured to cradle the foot to provide maximum comfort and support. The dynamic arch design adapts to all foot shapes for maximum support and comfort.

Timberland Pro Men's Anti-fatigue Technology Replacement Insole (91621) FAQ.

I bought a brand new pair of timberland boot for the winter and after a weak of wearing them (which is more than enough time to break them in) my feet would continuously ache even after removing the boots. I took out the insoles which came with the boot and was shocked to see just how paper thin they were and utterly useless the insoles which the boot came with were. Probably a marketing scheme to motive the buyers to buy even more product! well, it worked. I bought these and my feet have been thanking me everyday since then. They wear like a five star, but they have a four star price. -Notice from J. Shirley, Stockton-on-Tees

My son loves them. Usually feet hurt by noon and looking forward to quitting time. Now feet don't hurt at all at the end of the day.

Timberland-pro-men's-anti-fatigue-technology-replacement-insole-(91621) set picture

- I. MeganThese inserts are very soft and do resemble a layer of the anti fatigue matting you may find in restaurants behind the counters or at jobs where standing in one area is common. The inserts were very wide which was a plus for me because my feet are a 4e width. I even had to trim the edges down for them to fit in my shoe. The only reason i am leaving off a star is because the backs of these inserts around the heel area do not blend nicely against the wall of my shoe. I would recommend these to a friend.

I purchased these to replace the worn insoles in my work boots. They were easily trimmed to fit and are very comfortable. Will likely buy again when necessary.

The F.A.Q. for Timberland Pro Men's Direct Attach Six-inch Soft-toe Boot (tb065030713)

My last 3 pairs of work boots were the timberland pro steel toe with the rubber toe guard, i really liked them and would get just shy of a year with heavy use. After the price of the steel toe went to $149, i decided to try the soft toe at $100, i paired them with a pair of timberland inserts, . The combination was pure heaven. I can work a 12 hour day and not even want to take my shoes off when i get home. None of my timberlands have required a break in period, . They are comfortable right out of the box. . Before timberland, i would purchase red wings, after my first 2 pairs split at the bottoms after only a few months, at the suggestion of the manager of red wings, i spent nearly $300 for a pair of american made red wings as he said they would last longer. . After only 3 months the inside lining and padding was falling apart, . I thought, well at least there is a 1 year warranty. Wrong! , they wanted to charge me stating "wear and tear". When i told them i would never buy another pair of red wing boots, they just shrugged there shoulders, an email to their corporate office received no response. I work for a company where work boots are required, and we have alot of employees, . Red wings surely lost alot more than 1 customer. . Don't waste your money on red wings, . Go timberland!

My husbands works pest control outdoors in fla. Rain or shine he was buying $36 boots at walmart that every 2 months peeled (fake leather) they would not pass his company dress inspections. His parents oh well they don't cost that much. Finally i got him a pair of these he loved them very comfy, nice looking. He can polish them. Now 14 months later i am ordering him another pair the other ones still are holding up but would need insoles. You can't go wrong with these.

. Lisa, Thueringen says

I never thought i would buy shoes off the internet because when i go into a store i have to try on 3 different sizes depending on the manufacturer, but i was looking for something that would be a great motorcycle boot (yes, i know they make motorcycle boots) but would also be a great everyday walk/work boot. The second i saw these on online store i knew they would be the ones. So i took a chance and ordered a 9d which is the most common size i wear varying a 1/2 size either way. True to online store prime form they showed up 2 days later exactly as specified. I received them at work and immediately put them on. Right away i felt the arch hump in the boot felt just a tad too forward and there was a horrible pressure point on my left ankle from the tongue pushing in the wrong spot. I wore them in the office for the next 2 hours thinking maybe they would both subside, they didn't. So then came the dread of having to return them. Now, this is more of a online store rant right now, not the boots. Online store rocks! i couldn't believe how awesomely easy it was to do a return. I thought i would have to return them, buy another pair, and have both charges until someday i got reimbursed. Not the case my friend. I clicked on the return link and the next page asked if i wanted to return them for a refund or exchange them. So i exchanged for an 8 1/2, printed out the ups return form, put everything back in the box they came in, drove up to ups 2 minutes away and boom! done! you can't do it that fast anywhere else. 2 days later new boots where here again (because of prime). This time. Perfection! the arch humps were perfect, the tongue pressure point was gone, they were a perfect fit! i have worn these boots every day, all day, since receiving them last week and they are like wearing an old pair of broken in sneakers. I rode the motorcycle all weekend in the brisk spring morning air, nothing but comfort and warmth. The bigger test for me is how they are going to perform in the coming summer. I was nervous about the insulation because i want to wear these boots everyday and i'm not sure how the insulation will feel in the dead heat of summer. But, the description says they are breathable which should make a great difference instead of just trapping in the heat and sweat. I actually read through every single review about these boots on online store and some guy from florida said he wears them everyday. That made the decision for me. And i haven't for one second regretted buying them. Even after returning the first pair. I'm not going to tell you to buy a 1/2 size smaller, because who knows. Maybe 8 1/2 is my real size and i always get 9's anyway. Sometimes shoes fit great at 9 other times i have to go up or down. But just know if you have to return them like i did. It was so easy! i love everything about these boots and don't dislike anything. If there is one thing i would say that could be an improvement, it might be hooks at the top instead of eyelets for the laces. I have another pair of boots that have hooks and it just makes it nice instead of re-threading the tops. But the laces don't always come out either, so it's really not a bother, and it's a fraction of a second difference, so it's not a "con" for me. I love these boots!

S. Teresa, Ealing

Just received these boots today and they seem like every good thing i have heard about them. These wheat/yellow timberland pro direct attach boots are very comfortable and appear to be very well made. I will give them a good workout in the near future as i wear my boots all day every day and i do a lot of hiking in the mountains as well doing every outdoor job that comes with living in the mountains. I will give an update down the road. Thanks timberland for a nice pair of boots and thanks online store for some great service and quick delivery.

. Brenda, Kentucky says

Perfect boot . Wear them daily. It feels great on my feet with real leather. Seemed a little small at first but once broken in its perfect! . . 3 months later still looks great using the timberland boot polish and cleaner bought seperate. . Would buy again its best boot i've ever owned. Could of bought something cheaper but the discomfort would not be worth the savings

M. Morgan, Minnesota

I just bought these to replace my old ones(same exact boots), and the previous pair lasted me over 5 years. They were shot to hell by the end, but structurally they held up insanely well up til the last 6 months i wore them. . I was not wearing them for style, even though they are stylish. I work 6 days a week outdoors, and spent the entire 5 years slogging them through mud and rain without worry. 100% waterproof up til about an inch and a half below the top of the tongue, and the ankle support is incredible when laced properly. . When you get them, they may feel a little too tight on the sides, or a feeling that the sole won't bend at all. Deal with this for a day or two and you will have the most comfortable boots you've ever worn. I don't even own a pair of sneakers, these boots are my everyday shoes for work or anything else. . I'm sure i don't need to sing the praises of timberland, but i could not recommend them enough.

Y. Gina, Isle of Wight says

This is the second pair of these boots that i have owned. . The first pair lasted 20 years, and are still fine to wear, but i wanted a bigger size to accommodate thick socks and still have more wiggle room. . So, if these are anything like the other pair, and so far they seem to be, these boots will last you a long, long time. And i beat on them, too, wear them all day, wear them in snow, dirt, mud . And they wash clean and the soles don't wear out! warm, too! . . Love these boots.

D. Alba, South Gloucestershire

These are my main everyday boots. I have them in all 3 colors. Great thick heel and they're comfortable right out of the box. They seem plenty warm for winter conditions. The fit is as expected with room for a good boot sock. I will update this review if i have any issues in the future. . Beware: the color options "brown oiled full-grain" and "brown" are listed as two separate options and they look different in the pictures but they are the same boot. I found out by ordering one of each. The brown oiled full-grain image is the best representation of how they look.

E. Rebecca, Iowa says

I've had these boots for a few days so far and i have to say that they are the lightest work boots i've ever seen. The ones i bought have no composite/steel toe, are leather with waterproof coating. They came already seasoned and didn't need any "breaking-in". The boots have a antimicrobal coating which is a plus and a thermal layer to help in winter. They have held up great in my freight conductor job for a railroad company

. Rita, New Brunswick

I always used cheap brands and i used to hate working boots! , until i discovered timberland pro. This is the 3rd pair that i bought. I started using the wheat colored, and it lasted 2 years using it 6 days at week for 8 hours . Very comfortable boots and also very light , when new, they have very good traccion , gradually is loosing it with time but that is normal i guess. The last one i had the sole on the right side cracked, because they weared out . This is my first time buying the brown one, and i love it. Today i had the chance to compare the traccion, hicking on a steep hillside against some coworkers , it was like i was climbing stairs meanwhile they were slipping like they had banana peels on their boots. Highly recommend buying these boots, every situation is different, it works perfectly for me, i hope it works for you.

K. Medina, Bolton says

As i entered my favorite cigar shop, i saw it was filled with my friends. Everyone had to comment on my new timerland boots. My favorite was "what nice virgin work boots. " let me tell you, they feel as good as they look. If quality had a feel this would be it. I've had several operations on my feet as well as neuropathy and finding shoes that feel good and protect my feet can be quit a challenge. I am very pleased with the boots i purchased and would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

. Anonymous, Bromley

My husband swears by these boots for work. He says they provide the most comfort and durability over any other boot or brand. He s been wearing them for decades. He is a plumber and is on his feet all day. . I have purchased other brands over the years if they were cheaper, and he always goes back to these.

J. Gladys, Virginia says

1. Most important, my 9. 5 size fit very well, my high arch is accommodated, heel and toes fine with no rough rubbing felt. 2. Next, lacing thru loops works just fine - i prefer over some boot models that use tabs as compared too loop holes. 3. Next, although i have not immersed yet, upper/lower seal seems secure, and upper leather sheds water. 4. No chafing at rim above ankle. 5. Leather styling appears classic and looks good, . Summary: nice work boot, i think the timberland pro is rugged, will protect my feet while not tiring my feet, and looks good. Nice quality product which i recommend.

Q. Jacqueline, Basse-Normandie says

Shipping was good, and my item arrived on time. I ordered these boots for winter in new york and toronto, and am pleased with my purchase overall. My favorite thing about the boots is that there is insulation as well as anti-fatigue technology that has helped me for long walks in the cold. I would say that the boots are able to provide warmth up to approximately 35 degrees fahrenheit, which is about 2 degrees celsius, if one is wearing relatively warm boot-length socks; i felt cold around my toes with anything below 35 degrees fahrenheit. I was somewhat disappointed with the water resistance of the boots. While water does not penetrate the boot when one steps into a puddle, water has definitely seeped through numerous times via the front of the boots when i wore them in light to heavy rain weather. In terms of comfort, i find that the boots are very comfortable and follow the flow of one's natural walking motions unlike red wing boots which i find to be too stiff. I've worn the boots for a number of walks that lasted for miles, and never felt discomfort. Again, however, i would highly recommend wearing them with boot-length socks. With regular socks, irritation will be felt along the skin of calves, and even with boot-length socks, slight irritation can still be felt along the calves when the boots are worn for extended amounts of time (over 3 hours). Construct-wise, the boots appear to be durable though i can imagine the constant pulling on the top of the boots when putting them on could lead to tearing, and over time, the bottom of the boots have the potential to deteriorate, though that's to be anticipated with any pair of boots. Look-wise, i laced mine all the way to the top with my pants tugged above the top of the boots and i'm quite happy with the way they fit, there's good contrast between my pants and the boots which give the appearance of being narrow when laced all the way up. If one is purchasing the boots for heightening, then i can confirm that the boots will give you a solid inch and a half of additional height without any added cushions. Fit-wise, i'd say the boots are pretty true to size. I typically get shoes that are 10. 5 or 11 because i have wider feet. I went to marshall's to try these boots on before my purchase and felt that 10. 5 was just right.

O. Cunningham, West Virginia

Best work boot ever. And just over $100! i work at a horse barn 6 hrs/day. I want waterproof, sturdy, snug at ankles so debris doesn't fall into, wide toe box, balanced to alleviate lower back pain, no high heel, laces that stayed tied. I have to have black color. I got it all in these boots. Comfortable, no foot stress and no lower back stress (i did put in my orthotics to make sure of that). I hope they last awhile, but if they don't, i'll buy another pair.

B. Irene, Lewisham says

My husband absolutely loves them! he has the size 10 medium width. He says they are a little roomier than expected even though he does not have a narrow foot. He will probably appreciate the roominess with his winter socks. Great product!

N. Harrison, Salford

I purposely ordered a half size large and one size wider than standard as i have wide feet and i wanted to be able to put gel inserts inside (i walk a lot) and be able to also wear thick insulated socks when required by the ny winters. They fit great, and were fairly comfortable without the gel inserts. With the gels, well, basically, i'm gellin - very comfortable. I like the laces as they are grey and black and they are long enough where i don't have to delace the tops to get them on and off. The soles are rugged and have great grip in the rain and snow so far. As for durability i cant yet say as i have only worn them three or four times so far. As long as the boots stays attached to the soles i am good. One thing i noticed when i was first lacing them up was one of the metal reinforcers where the laces go thru had a little metal tab sticking up that was pressed/stamped incorrectly during manufacture, so it would catch the lace when trying to tighten or loosen the lace. I fixed it by delacing that hole and using a pair of regular pliers to basically crimp/squash the little spike flat. That did the trick, and luckily i didnt tear or put runs in the lace. Other than that the boots are great. They are a little heavy as to be expected, but that is not abnormal for a thick rugged boot. The weight is mainly in the soles which are about 1. 5 inches thick in the heel and about an inch thick in the rest of the instep. Overall, great boots so far.

U. Cecilia, Waltham Forest says

I've owned a few pairs of the traditional suede timberlands and they have been ok. I've liked them, but they don't last forever. I just wear them for daily use too, so nothing insane. But i was told the pro series were better made and made to be more durable. I was already reasonably happy with the normal ones, so i figured i'd give the pro series a try and i'm glad i did. They are made noticeably better than the regular ones. They seem to be stitched better and made out of better materials. Now i'm not a timberland or boot know it all, so it could be that i just didn't pay enough attention to what the original ones are made of because again, i wear these for daily walking use as i'm not a construction worker or anything like that. But these ones are just very well made and i'm extremely happy with them. And they do not scuff or seem to wear quickly.

R. Miller, California

I have owned close to 5 pairs of these boots. I wear them at work where i spend on average 10 hours a day on my feet. People comment how i can wear such a heavy boot for so long and in hot weather but the comforst and support is better than any shoe i have ever tried. At $100. 00 a pair these boots go thru the cycle of work shoe, where they look awesome once polished, then once they have been scuffed and worn usually about a year of upper midwest weather. They then go to my work, hiking, fishing shoe. By this time they are more comfortable than a gym shoe, warm but breathable and waterproof. I used to buy knapp atv boots and use them the same way until they started making them in china then they were junk. These unfortunately are not made in the usa either. Tho only problem i have ever had was with my latest purchase where the shoelace grommetts were not properly seated causing the laces to shred. I am sure i could have sent them back but decided to keep them and fix myself. If you know someone that spends alot of time on thier feet and needs great support these are the boots !

X. Nellie, Northwest Territries says

Amazing boots. Highly recommended. Top 3 favorite purchase from online store. I got the wide version along with the pro series sole! this boot is superior to both pairs of red wing boots i owned. I went from tims to redwing and now i'm back and i'm here to stay redwing was too narrow

G. Suzanne, North Dakota

I've been purchasing this same exact boot for over 10 years. I'm in concrete and these boots take abuse. I've tried other leading boots but they don't hold up. I tell all my worker buddies to get these especially if. They have foot issues. I even take these hiking. They have a great arch support and pad that doesn't break down. Online store has the best price. Workin gear also sells these. I've never had the bottoms fall apart. The worst thing. Was that after 2 years the leather cracked up by my toe. Sometimes i walk in wet concrete and that will ruin. Any boot. Stay out of concrete so the leather doesn't crack up. Clean and rub leather oil on them a couple times a year.

L. Lindsey, Alaska says

This is the second time i edit my review as overtime things change and i want people to know how durable these were with me. I work on a farm so im always moving and always on my feet. The first couple months the boots were amazing even water did not get in when the brush was wet. I've had these for about a year know and the boots themselves are still in great condition considering the type of work i do. A couple months in the water did start to seep into the boots in the wet mornings but not much as easy. My biggest problem with these is that the insoles wore out (yea i walk a lot) the insoles aren't as durable as the actual boots. I replaced the insoles and the boots are still in great condition. I did at first give the boots four stars then i edited the review and gave them five, and now im editing the review again and going back down to four just because of the insoles. I still think the boots are a great buy.

V. Reed, Wakefield

I really liked these shoes. They are the first few days hard, but after 50 km of walking they become very comfortable. I rubbed them with beeswax, and their color became deeper. The size fits perfectly. I wear 9. 5 w, and these boots came up perfectly. In the street you can work comfortably until the water freezes around zero degrees celsius. I do not mind the money for these shoes!

Top /timberland pro direct six inch soft toe Review

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

C. Carol, Vermont says

These boots are comfortable from day one. I had another pair of timberland pro boots i purchased in 2004 and wanted an exact replacement. That style was no longer available and these appeared to be the closest match. The sole is taller and different on this pair - waffle stomper soles like to pick up 1/4 minus gravel and cherry pits left by the birds. The leather almost has a synthetic feel to it - i know it isn't but it just has a strange quality. The boots tend to have a wider than usual footbed - i like having room for my foot to move in my boot. If you have a normal size foot for your shoe size and like a snug boot, these might not be the ones for you. I got a great price on online store and wear these boots every day in comfort. . November 25, 2012 update: the sole is kind of falling apart - from the edges. I wish i could have bought the old boots. . February 5, 2013 update: sole continues to chunk off. I can't recommend these boots.

R. Susan, Nottingham

Not waterproof! in spite of the tag and feature list, these boots are an epic fail regarding water resistance. I don t wear them in rain too often but i did notice damp feet once before but assumed water seeped in the top. Today s weather put them thru sole high water testing and now both feet are cold and slushy wet! now that i m indoors i can hear a vacuum like wet suction sound from the rear boot while walking as if they suck in water with ea step. . I ve had timberlands before and this is highly disappointing and truly does damage their brand. A previous post suggested a quality degradation from past to now and i m forced to agree. My last pair was waterproof all the way down to no threads, this pair is 6 months old, hardly any thread wear. Boot on right is my old pair 3 yrs. Boot on left is the new one 6 months. Seems the issue is now the square threads in the middle are now hollow, notice the holes and inner lining showing thru. The old threads were solid, they wore flat with the sole yet no holes. Would give 1 star if it wasn t for comfort and fit.

N. Nielsen, Poitou-Charentes says

First off the upper black pleather portion with no pull loop or tab was disspointing quality. Purchased the 11. 5 not wide enough, so i purchased the 11. 5 wide and felt no difference. Returned them and bought some keen boots which run wide and fit great no need to wide sizes with keen

Q. Hakala, Buckinghamshire

Have had these boots for 3 work days. And already separating. Very disappointed. What the heck. Very poor quality.

. Joanna, Illinois says

I bought and received an 11w and it seems to be more like a 11d in the toe area and is more narrow than my other 11w boots. Had to return it.

P. Mathis, Maryland

I m gonna give a 5 star but i ve only had them for a couple days. I wear nothing but redwings but over the years they ve gotten worse and worse. Finally tired of my feet hurting, tried these. Very comfortable. They are definitely a little big, but the anti fatigue insoles help eat up some space. I really wish the had the speed hooks for my laces but they will be added easily enough. After 2 months i still love these boots but they have fallen apart. There is already hole in the toe, the insole is falling apart, and the lining in the boots had ripped to pieces. Pretty sad these boots suck so bad. Back to redwing

A. Eleanor, Florida says

The boot is nice and comfortable. However, not waterproof at all. I've tried several water-proofing products and no dice. Too top it off, after only about 6 months winter only use (over 2 seasons) the stitching has torn and my once sweet, still brand-new looking boots have a huge whole in them. Not happy at all. Won't buy timberland boots again.

O. Russell, Trafford

Do not buy these! purchased on jan. 6 2017 and now, 6 months later, they are shot. The soles do not hold up at all. Both boot soles have cracked straight across the bottom. Now they are no longer waterproof. I am on my feet 8 to 11 hours a day with these boots. They are comfortable, i'll give them that. But material and craftsmanship is lacking! timberland will warranty the boot but wants me to send back on my dime and be without boots for 3 to 4 weeks. Lesson learned, i will buy my boots locally from now on and stay away from timberland brand. See my pictures. . *update - i contacted online store via chat and the rep is sending me a replacement pair of boots. Online store is shipping them 1 day air and they are paying for the return of the old boots! amazing customer service by online store! keep up the great work online store and thank you! *

W. Finch, Iowa says

I normally buy the standard timberland boots, since i do construction i figured i get the pro series ( after like 3 months the rubber sole on the left side started peeling like string cheese, i contacted timberland via email and they said i have to mail the boots out for exmination ( a picture would be no goo) so to ship defected boots would cost me like 25 dollars or so and i won't have any boots for almost 2 months, a big thumbs down! there suppose to do better then the standard boot. Maybe i got a bad pair but timberland should have done something for me i've been a loyal boot buyer for 10 years

S. Michele, Hammersmith and Fulham

End of boot-life review. I wear these boots every day, year round, all weather. I got about 2 years out of them. I've had other boots last a bit longer. Both soles split side to side at about where the foot bends allowing water to gush in if stepping in a puddle. They were not trash but they didn't provide the quality and durability i would have expected.

D. Lynette, Sefton says

The only problem with these boots are the soles. I am on my second pair of the same boot and just like the last pair the soles are starting to crack after only 8 months. You would think for the price they charge the soles would last longer than 8 months.

Y. Wade, Hartlepool

Unboxing; the right one looks band new. The left one is scuffed on the toe and the side. Online store or someone else along the line reselling slightly used boots? they're comfortable but i just got them. I will update. . Not going to lie. I had high expectations for craftsmanship but they seem no better built or more waterproof than other slightly cheaper brands i've tried. Kinda wish i would have ponied up the dough for danners. Time will tell. I'm a paramedic so they will be put to the test.

M. Guest, Redcar and Cleveland says

I had not used timberland for years but bought a pair from dick's sporting goods and they lasted longer than expected so i decided to buy timberlands again. I wear boots to work, can have them strapped on for long hours, my job also consists of a lot standing and stair climbing. This model was potentially the most uncomfortable workboot i have ever purchased. I will stick to brick and mortar for work boot purchases from now on.

E. Brenda, Lorraine

The boot is comfortable, but the sole began splitting from the leather upper less than 3-weeks after i first wore them. . And less than three months after first wear, the sole split on the bottom of my left boot. . I'm on my feet more than 8-hours per day working mainly outdoors, often in wet conditions, and need my boots to hold up!

. Carolyn, Wiltshire says

Fully a size too large. This company needs to adopt the same sizing standards as every other footwear company on earth. Being cute and using deranged and inconsistent sizes (my 10. 5 boot was more like a 12) won't help you in the age of e-commerce. I returned my boots and will never order this brand again. Get your act together. Seriously pathetic.

Z. Yvette, Mississippi

Waited a year to write this review. These were bought as work shoes for my guy. He works on his feet 5 to 6 days a week. They fit his 13w feet nicely and they were comfortable for him. So, we're happy with that. But at about the year mark, the leather separated from the sole on the side of one of the shoes. They aren't suitable for his work anymore only for that one flaw. It's a shame. Now we're looking for new boots. Won't pay for these again.

U. Alexia, Auvergne says

I was walking and wondering why my sock was getting wet. On checking the boot out when i got home i found that the sole of the boot has split right behind where the toe creases (left to right) all the way across the bottom. $70 to get new soles on them.

T. Pete, Blackpool

The boots fell apart in a matter of weeks and with infrequent wear. The boots were to be used just for the winter, once the snow and extreme cold arrived. The snow hadn't even arrived yet and the soles already began to separate from the leather uppers right at the ball of the foot. Very surprised to find boots by "timberland" failing the casual-wear test. Had to return the boots to online store. I am thoroughly disappointed in these boots and will have to look to a different name for insulated/water-proof boots to wear during the winter.

B. Carrie, Telford and Wrekin says

I bought the 12 and they are a little small. I bought the 13 and they are a little big. Whichever size you are, you will want better inserts within a week.

L. Colleen, Rochdale

These boots are just horrible. First, i own and have owned a lot of boots. Hunting boots, hiking boots, works boots, etc. I've had these for two years now and the left boot has always been painful to wear. At first i thought it was the insoles. I've gone through 3 pair of insole and always the same problem. I've finally gone back to the the timberland pro insoles and they're just as bad. I finally pulled out the insoles just to see what they felt like and it's the same problem. It's like the arch is in the wrong spot! i've been walking around forever on these and think i actually got a defective pair somehow because they're just not right. I've never had anything like this, even in timberland. I' barely have any wear on these and finally determined they're garbage. Can't return them at this point so just won't buy timberland anymore. Just not worth the price anymore.

I. Kristen, New Mexico says

Not very good for winter time, i work as a satellite tv installer, so i'm outside for an extended period of time on some jobs. They're warm when i put them on at home, but once i'm outside for a while, the soles become rock hard and the cold seeps into the inside of the shoe. If it's below 20 degrees i have to put hot hands hand warmers inside of my boots. Would not recommend them if you're looking for winter work boots. They might work to shovel a small sidewalk, but not for actually working outside

. Debra, Kansas

First, i payed for these timberland boots. (check my update below! ). I waited until i had used these boots for a few months before reviewing them in order to give an honest opinion. I wear them 5 to 6 days a week, from summer until now when we just had the first snowfall of the season, anywhere from 8 to 18 hours a day working on concrete floors, and in and out of trucks. Yes, i'm on my feet all day. My feet and legs used to get sore and tired with my last pair, but since using these timberlands i can work longer without getting fatigued. My only complaints are the lack of the slip resistant sole, and the quick lace-up eye hooks at the top of the boot. If it had these two changes made, it would be the perfect workboot. I will leave you with a tip: i pair these with the dr. Scholls p. R. O heavy duty support insoles, designed for men over 200 lbs. They provide extra support. Together they are the footwear i recommend to everyone. Update! 2/22/17. Lowering my rating from 5 to 1 star. Posted a picture of the soles breaking apart on both boots, similar to other reviwers here on online store. Very dissapointed. Will find another brand to use, you should too

F. Maria, Massachusetts says

I've been wearing timberland's for over 25 years. Always 13 wide. Never had a fit problem until this last order. I didn't wear them when i received them because it has been storming but this past weekend was dry and put on the brown pair i purchased and low and behold too small, put the black pair on same thing. I didn't try them on when i received them because i never had an issue before. Now i'm past my window to return them. $300 dollars down the drain.

G. Zelda, Alberta

My husband just started wearing the boots i bought him recently and the sole is coming off. He s so disappointed. Will they replace them? who can i contact?

K. Guest, Alabama says

Timberland quality has gone down hill, i used to wear them for years, the last two pair i got started falling apart within a month, never again will i buy timberland products.

J. Beale, District of Columbia

I've worn timberland pro series boots as work boots for the last decade. I like that they are waterproof, and they are not too hot for the 12+ hour shifts in the field in the summertime. I bought the brown on brown boots two years ago, and it's time to buy another set. The outside seam at the intersection of the leather and the rubber sole blew out on one of them, a good 3" long and in such a way that it doesn't look like it can be repaired. . I like the way they look and i like the way they fit. My wife tells me two years of hard use is a pretty good run, and i should just buy another set. And i will. They just don't seem as well made as they used to be.

X. Courtney, Basse-Normandie says

Update: 11/17/2014 - - newest and final rating: 2 stars. Returning them. They aren't comfortable, they don't have thinsulate, the leather is cheap, the soles are trash. Won't bother trying timberland as a brand again for boots. . First rating: 2 stars. Update: 11/13/2014 -new rating: 3. 5 stars. (haven't worn outside in snow yet. ). . Received the replacement pair of boots today. Immediately it was clear that these boots were of a totally different caliber. The leather (unlike the first pair) has a nice finish, no scuffs or dead spots. The sole (interior & exterior) are much better and the boots were comfortable as soon as i put them on. There is still the issue with the "no thinsulate" but i'll update once i wear these out in the snow/ice. End update -. . Received the boots today and right out of the box the leather is scuffed on both boots. It appeared that the uppers were mildly used condition or like they had been sliding around in a tool box for a weekend romp through the backwoods of tn. I saw straight away these boots don't appear to have any actual "thinsulate" in them. It is something called "thermolite" which is a cheaper "knock-off" of "thinsulate" with "thinsulate" being much warmer, lighter, etc. Next was the issue of boot making quality. The boots when set on a flat surface looked completely different. The sole of one was bent out of shape and the leather upper looked miscut? . I put them on, they fit perfectly, however the right foot sole of the boot was convex and within a minute or standing there was a lot of pain going on. Nothing felt right about the boots so i returned them. I'm giving them another shot with a replacement pair of the same size and style. Hoping i had a lemon. Will update when the next ones get here.

. Crawford, Greenwich

The pair of boots i received were either defective or not an authentic timberland product. Construction was poor and cheap. For example, (1) the two sides that lace up around your foot did not align properly; one side was higher than the other at the lowest lace eyelets, (2) the lining on the underside of the eyelets was not trimmed flush. (3) when checking the inside of the boots everything seemed ok, until i removed the foot insert. The insert was crudely cut to size with jagged edges. (4) with the foot insert removed, additional poor construction was revealed. Parts were glued in place without reaching the inside edges of the boot and sole. (5) on the exterior of the boot, the bead that surrounds the sole and touching the boot was partially missing and gummy to the touch. I do not know what an authentic timberland boot should look and feel like, but i do know that a good work boot should not come out of the box ready to fall apart. . I'm disappointed to see that this order was fulfilled by online store.

V. Rhonda, Hackney says

After 6 months of wear, the soles split and allowed water to enter the boot. I have been using timerland pro for about 7 years straight with no issues until now.
