Powerstep Wide Fit Full Shoe Inserts (Shoe Accessory) 1974

Review for /powerstep wide full shoe inserts

Price was 25. This is the insoles for those of us with high arches. I bought these powersteps and also a set of the superfeet wide green. The superfeet has very little arch support. I'll be buying the powersteps for all of my shoes and boots.

Powerstep wide fit full shoe inserts Review (powerstep wide fit full u)

These insoles have proven to be such a lifesaver insofar as the agonizing pain in my legs and feet from standing for three hours at a time and walking go. I was in much pain and then progressively adopted nike compression socks, spenco sandals and these inserts. While i also, on occasion, take a pill for the pain, the three products mentioned have greatly improved my ability to stand and walk without pain. Very highly recommend. -D. Laura

PROS
  • I wasn't familiar with the brand but i took the plunge based off the positive reviews and i'm very happy i did. It's made being on my feet for extended hours much better. The fact that they are wide greatly reduced my heel pain, which i never thought was caused by my other insoles being too narrow. I have definitely noticed less my knee pain go down as well. Definitely recommend if you are on the heavier side and have wide feet.
  • I love going down to boston and just walking around. Before i got these i would have to leave after barely a couple of hours. I've had these for 3 months now and i love them. Now when i go to boston i can walk around for 5-6 hours. No lie. That's not non-stop full on sprint walking mind you, that's just walking around, looking things over, stopping for a cup of coffee here and there, getting lunch or what have you. Before these, doing the same thing, i was ready to leave after 2. . My feet need good arch support, otherwise they tend to tilt inwards and it get pretty painful after a while. These are more than enough to keep my feet flat, which also keeps the knees straight. They're made of a hard plastic, with a padding on top, that actually works like it should, unlike all those gimmicky "memory foam" things that compress down to nothing the second you step on them. They took me a couple of weeks to really get used to them, but they are worth every penny i spent. . I wear a size 11 wide d or e and these fit almost perfect. The only thing i would change is having the heels a little wider and the sides of the heel cup come up a little further.
CONS
  • Great shape and size, but sadly not really supportive. The arch support is easily compressed by my thumb to the table. I tried wadding up some paper in my shoe under where the arch support should be, but it didn't help and just made it lumpy.
  • The insert fit my shoe just fine (no cutting needed), but as soon as i put my feet into my shoes i could feel the arch was way too big for me. At first i thought the insert had folded under itself, but no that's how it's supposed to be. I tried these in brand new shoes so i know it's nothing weird about the shoe. I consider my arches to be "normal" (not high, not flat). . I also bought a set of dr. Scholl's for plantar fasciitis in the same shipment. Those fit perfectly too (no cutting), and feel great to me. No arch issues. . One last thing that caught my eye. The instruction booklet says "do not immerse in water". That's probably ok for most people, but i'm planning to thru hike the pct so most likely my inserts will be submerged many times. What happens when you submerge? my guess is delimitation of the layers and/or terrible stench from trapped water growing mildew. Who knows.
  • Works great at first but 2 sets both feel apart with in 8 weeks. For the price they should last longer

Best thing you can do for your feet, knees, hips! my hubby and i put these powersteps in all of our shoes and boots. They are well worth the money spent. (all sneakers come with flimsy insoles. We replace all our insoles - for all of our shoes, with these ! ). Your body will thank you!

Powerstep SlimTech 3/4 Length Orthopedic Foot Insoles Support All Sizes

I ordered these hoping that i could use them in some light summer shoes that are normally worn without socks. I know the full length inserts would work and was hopeful this was a good option. The shoes were a bit snug but the inserts did the trick as my feet didn't ache afterwards. I call that a success as i can wear my favorite warm weather shoes without discomfort. Only 4 stars to this point as it's only been a week or so but so far so good.

Slide the powerstep slimtech 3/4 into your shoes for an extra pep in your step. Prescription-like polypropylene support, calibrated with flexibility for comfort. Stabilizing heel cup and "neutral" or flat platforms at the heel and midfoot for amazing cushioning and comfort. Unique hypercel cushioned insole. Special anti-bacterial sanitiz fabric to reduce slippage and heat, keeping feet drier.

Powerstep Slimtech 3/4 Length Orthopedic Foot Insoles Support Sizes (501203as) FAQ.

These were recommended to me by my surgeon. I had ankle ligament and tendon reconstruction. After coming out of the boot i developed plantar fasciitis. He pulled these up on the online store site and told me they were as good as anything he could get for me through their office and were much more reasonably priced. I ve been wearing the for over a week now and have had a significant reduction in heel pain. I am very pleased with them. -Notice from V. Melissa, Northamptonshire

When i discovered these have hard plastic base and significant arc elevation, i was scared they would hurt me. I have very picky feet with pain for over 25 years. These work great in 2 out if 3 pairs of boots i tried them. I hope once my feet get used to being in normal shape, i will be able to use them in most shoes. I am ordering at least one more for now so i don't have to change them all the time. Worth every penny!

- . AnonymousI love that these fit in my dress shoes! my podiatrist instructed me to wear the full-size powerstep insoles in my tennis shoes, but i really wanted to wear my dress shoes to work. I took a chance ordering these and i was so glad i did! i can wear these inside boots, pumps, flats, you name it. Wonderful solution if you have plantar fascia or nerve pain but you want to wear something other than tennis shoes.

My podiatrist recommended this to me, to wear in flat shoes without taking out any insoles that might be removable. So far i've worn them in 3 very different pairs of flat shoes for a full day in each pair. They have been very comfortable. I thought they might cause pain because most shoes with arch supports cause pain. To my surprise, the arch support of these inserts is not painful. They also don't slip forward. One drawback is that they raise the feet considerably, so in some shoes i am not able to wear them. They squish my feet too much against the top of such shoes. . Ok, time for an update after a few weeks of wear: they do slip forward sometimes. Not bad, not often, but occasionally i do have to pull my shoe off and push the this orthotic back into the right position. Also, in sandals that have an enclosed back, these orthotics work just fine, but the blue on top and offwhite underside colors show out the sides, so i wish they were available in a plain brown or black.

I am a huge fan of powerstep insoles. I have them in all my walking, running and hiking shoes.

Powerstep-journey-hiker-insoles-shock-absorbing-(shoes) set picture

- F. AdrienneThese were highly discounted, so i purchased them for several pairs of shoes. They provide excellent arch support for my aching feet (i suspect i have plantar fasciitis). The arch support is better than any other version of powerstep; however this leads to one disadvantage. The arch support is so good that it adds a lot of extra thickness to my shoes over the original insole. This was fine for athletic shoes and boots, but i could not use these for dress shoes at all. I would recommend these for athletic, hiking, and boots, but not dress shoes.

Good insoles if your shoes have no arch support, which is just about every shoe made. These are thicker than normal powerstep insoles so keep this in mind when ordering.

Powerstep Original Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles (5001 01d) FAQ.

These insoles were recommended by my podiatrist. They wanted me to purchase in office for 48 bucks. I knew my insurance wouldn't cover it, so i embarked on searching for the best price. These insoles were a great deal price wise. The structure of the design is very sold. These do not give at the arch. Great for helping with plantar fasciitic, immediately had relief. I would recommend these insoles to help keep your feet healthy. I am amazed i haven't found these earlier in life. They are great. -Notice from . Josephine, Delaware

This is my second pair. The first pair was prescribed to me by my podiatrist before my bunion surgery. I have continued to use them in post surgery phase. For all new users you need to allow your feet to get used to being reshaped on how you walk and run. Ever notice when you buy a pair of running shoes or any shoes you are paying $80-150/pair or more, the insole in the shoes are worth about $0. 50 ? well the mfg wont give you quality insoles in cheaper or more expensive shoes because they know that quality insoles will increase the life to the shoe since you will likely wear them properly and not buy more pairs of shoes. Try these out. Don't stack the insoles as many tend to do, if the old ones are glued in , work them out ot replace them with these. Give them a little time to get your arches get use to them and you will probably never look back. Your calves and heels may cry a little in the beginning since you are shifting the "footprint" of your step which will transfer the changes in your joints and muscle up your ankles and calves and maybe even knees. It is ok, as you have even using those muscles and joints to compensate for poor walking habits anyways and they are just thanking you.

- W. KellyAnytime i buy something, i always read the reviews before purchasing the item and this was no exception. Everything i read about these insoles were 100% correct. I read that you have to break them in and it is going to hurt for a little while until you do and they were so right. I already had pain in my feet from plantar fasciitis, so it was difficult to not want to throw them back in the box and send back. If it wasn't for the reviews and giving them a chance because of them, i would have sent them back immediately. Instead i chose to listen and gave them time, even with the pain they caused until my feet got used to them. It took about or less then a week and i was pain free. I cannot stress how difficult it was for me to walk and now i have no pain. I can now stand all day at work and not have to cringe every time i walk. . Another commenter also said that these would be a sure fit or you might have to cut just a tad bit, but not much to fit in the shoe. They were right about this also, i did not have to cut the insole at all. I ordered the 7. 5-8 and it fit perfectly in 3 of my jogging shoes. No cutting and no fuss, just insert into the shoe and go (aside from getting used to them). . So, if you have pain on the bottom of you feet and/or your ankle, i highly recommend getting these because they are worth it. I could not be happier with these because they took my pain away. I am so grateful to those who commented on these and got me to buy them. Thank you and powerstep for saving my feet and taking my pain away. . Update: bought a pair for my husband and he loves them. Stopped his knee pain :)

I replaced a very old pair of insoles with these. I looked at many options before choosing these. I rely alot on reviews to help me decide. . These were comfortable right out of the box! . They recommend wearing for a short time to get used to them, i only did that for the first day. . They gave immediate but temporary relief of the heel pain i was having. I had to stop my regular walks for awhile to heal my heel pain. I wear these everyday in my walking shoes and finally my heel pain has improved and i can walk regularly again. . I highly recommend!

Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles (5015 01e) FAQ.

I have rather severe pronation and these inserts went into my shoes easily and really provide support to the inside of my foot, supporting the arch and with a good heel cup, supporting my foot to lessen the pronation, and relieving the pain i was having. -Notice from G. Mary, Wokingham

Click to Show powerstep pinnacle maxx full length orthotic shoe insoles (5015 01e) Details

The only thing that surprised me was that the bottom of the heel is tilted to force you to walk on the outsides of your heels. I was unaware of that and i'm not certain that i like it yet. Otherwise the arch in it is a bit higher then my power step originals and i believe that's exactly what i wanted. With the insoles removed from the shoes however, the orthotics do not provide much cushioning and so the insole of the shoe seems somewhat hard and a bit uncomfortable. That might have more to do with the shoot than with the orthotic. Overall i'm hopeful that this orthotic will help resolve my foot problem.

- W. AngelicaI wear the expensive inserts from walking company but they were sold out so tried these. Fit great. I have overpronation from flat feet. Size 71/2 womens hawaiian feet, great for swimming ie. Flippers. Just hope they last long. Only had them 3 weeks so far

These insoles helped me beat plantar fasciitis after 3 years of trying everything else. You'll need to put them in all your shoes, including slippers. Never, ever walk anywhere barefoot! if i could wear them in the shower, i would!

Powerstep Comfortlast Full Shoe Inserts

Bought my first pair at the podiatrist office after a foot exam. Been having some foot pain for a few months. I liked them right away. I've been moving these inserts from one pair of shoes to the next, testing them out and figuring out how more i would need. Very supportive. Nice cushion. I had to look on online store and see if i could find them here. Obviously much less expensive than the doctor's office. I'm going to use these in my field boots and in a few of my shoes where i have the room for them. If you have shoes that are pretty tight, these may be a bit much.

If you have sore, aching feet, powerstep s comfortlast impact gel insoles are ideal for pain relief. Using gel technology and slow-recovery foam, comfortlast full-length cushioned insoles provide maximum comfort and soften the impact of every step. Comfortlast shock absorbing insoles are ideal for increased support while walking or jogging. Powerstep Comfortlast Full Shoe Inserts (Shoe Accessory) FAQ.

I bought new basketball shoes and i was ready to throw them away because they were so uncomfortable but then i tried these insoles and they turned my shoes into a dream come true. I know it's all psychological but i swear that the first time i wore these my basketball game was on a whole new level - i really can't explain it. Unfortunately i played just as horrible as i normally do the next time i played so these aren't magical but i still highly recommend them. ! -Notice from N. Stacey, North East Lincolnshire

I normally order the blue ones. But this time i decided to try these due to the reviews on heel protection. I have to say so far my heels feel great. These maybe my new favorite powerstep.

- G. GuestI have been suffering from damaging the tendon in one of my feet it makes it feel bruised and hard to walk on my heel, these do help, they don't last forever in my work shoes but i am on my feet about 40 hours a week, sometimes more, so the shoes break down, too. I will definitely buy these every time i get new shoes, they do make a difference for me. Thanks.

These are great inserts to provide good support for the arches. This powerstep is not as stiff as their other model, so it provides more cushioning.

The F.A.Q. for Powerstep Wide Fit Full Shoe Inserts (Shoe Accessory)

These inserts provide comfortable arch support. They fit wonderfully in most wide shoes, and even some wider normal shoes. Their only flaw is that they do get beaten down after several months, but then, i suppose that's to be expected from something you put all your weight on daily.

Seem to work pretty well got them for plantar's fasciitis, which seems to be improving. I'll give them another month or so to make sure there's no premature wear, but for now-they hold up as expected. . Oh! remove the soles from your shoes before putting these in. Your shoes will be too tight if you try to float these on the insoles already in there. Hopefully that's obvious, but you never know.

I have some athletic shoes that annoyingly had the insides wearing-out before the outside. I tried to find a solution without going to a new pair of shoes, and these insoles did the trick! i removed the original insoles from the shoes (they were glued in so i had to use some force), and then put these in, in their place. Not only do the shoes feel like a new pair of shoes, but these insoles are much better than the ones that came with the shoes. These provide better arch support, better cushioning, and are more comfortable. I need wide shoes, especially for sports, so i am especially happy that these insoles come in a wide size. Note: you'll have to remove the current insoles from your shoes in order to put these in, as these are too thick to put on top of the current insoles.

M. Alberta, Darlington

These are great! the rigid, wide platform and arch support helped me tremendously and kept my feet from hurting constantly. I am on my feet 12 hours per day and these inserts have taken away 90% of my foot pain. These are worth the extra money for sure!

Q. Pearce, Gloucestershire says

I have looked far and wide for a good set of orthopedic inserts. I've tried numerous ones but they eventually fail for my wide flat, feet (14 eeee) on my larger than average frame (6'4 250). I bought these figuring they would eventually go in the trash heap like the others, but to my surprise, they work surprisingly well! the first week or so i wore them, my arches ached from not having proper support before and being forced to align. I was pretty sure i would have to toss them, but after 7-10 days, the aches/soreness went away and i readily adapted to them. I didn't realize how nice these are until i was on vacation and was left with only a pair of shoes that did not have them for a water park. The difference was immediate and not pleasant. All day walking in the water park was torture. Luckily for the next park, i was able to wear these and the 5-6 miles we covered was better than i've ever experienced with inserts. . These are great for walking but not so great for running/jogging. I find they feel odd and i usually switch to my old pair for that, but for walking/hiking/elliptical/recumbent, they are excellent. . I can't stress enough there may be a, "break in" period where your feet have to adapt, especially if you're flat footed, but give them a few weeks and you will be thankful. I don't think i can ever go back to my old sets of inserts for anything walking/standing related.

. Michele, New Brunswick

I cannnot tell you how much pain my left foot was causing me. I want 2 to 3 miles a day and the pain was starting to miminze the amount of time and distance i could go. I have wide feet and read about these by a couple of foot doctors. Start using them and within a couple of days all the pain went away. It really worked for me. It was hard to believe it worked so well.

E. Kellie, Middlesbrough says

I bought a set of these insoles for my husband. His comment when he put them in his shoes was that he never realized that he didn't have a good arch support before. He hasn't said much more about it. The shoes with the insoles have become his "go to" shoes for walking and standing long periods of time. Powersteps have quietly become a part of our lives (as a well built insole should).

B. Claudia, Haringey

So far, i am loving these. They fit better than the competition and have a very good feel. They are also half the price. Time will tell how long they last, but so far they are great in my rambler boots and i just got a pair to put in my hunting boots. Turkey season should be a great test!

U. Lawrence, Connecticut says

I love powerstep but now must get a very wide shoe. These are definitely wider than the original powerstep but they could be a tad wider at the toe box. I have brooks running shoes in extra-wide (womens) and these are not quite wide enough at the toe box but are significantly better than the original. I wish more powerstep types of insoles were available in the extra wide size.

N. Patricia, South Dakota

These inserts are the best, they were recommended by a podiatrist when i was having pain in the arch of my foot, which completely resolved with the use of this product. Another podiatrist wanted to fit me with custom made inserts for $400 or more dollars, so glad i got that 2nd opinion. This way i can afford to have a pair for all my shoes. I highly recommend the power step products.

G. Terry, Sefton says

I've been wearing powerstep inserts for a few years now, but didn't know they were available in wide. I really like the wide fit and they're more comfortable than the ones i had been wearing. These will be my go to inserts from now on.

Y. McCarthy, Massachusetts

I am a big guy with wide flat feet. I have worn arch supports for many years-i am an active old man living in the rocky mountain west. I have just upgraded my inserts to these powerstep inserts. My feet feel better, my balance improved, and my attitude got better! and the price is a very nice savings per pair. I bought a test pair and then bought three more pair to get in my regular footwear. They come in sizes, of course, but check out powerstep-good new addition for your feet.

J. Guest, Schleswig-Holstein says

This was the first time i tried the wide size. Always noticed a slight gap at the edges of my 4e shoes so i decided to see what difference the wider size might make. The wide size is a little too wide, but does not seem to affect how it feels. I'll probably stay with the regular width in future.

F. Mable, East Sussex says

I wear an odd size shoe size, 7. 5 wide. These insoles fit perfect. They provide great support and feel like i just purchased a new pair of walking shoes. I shopped around before purchasing these and i'm glad i did as they have beat my expectations. I would recommend these insoles for anyone who wants to put a new step back in their old shoes.

L. Brenda, Hamburg

These were the answer to my sore feet. My other inserts were good, but they weren't wide enough and it caused my little toe on the left foot to get a callus and it was getting worse by the day. I found the wide fit shoe inserts and they, like it said are wonderful. I highly recommed them to anyone who need a wide insert. Jb-nv

X. Tracey, Texas says

I've used these several times. They work well for me. I have flat feet and have experienced some plantar fasciitis. These seem to help with both. Mine last about a year. Depends on how often you wear the shoes they're in.

I. Stacey, Ohio

Oh my gosh wish i had know about these 3 years and $400 ago! that's when i got official orthotics after being diagnosed with a partial ptfl tear. Those original orthotcs are wearing out and i really don't want to spend that much again so i decided to try these after doing a google search. They give the same support - if not better - than my ugly expensive and fat orthotics and these are thin enough i can go buy real shoes again (the orthotics were so thick that i could only wear 2 types of sas shoes, nothing else would fit over them).

A. Lynette, Ealing says

What can i say about inner souls. They work as stated. My va podiatrist took my old powersteps out of my shoe. He then drew an outline of my shoe and old inner soul and asked me what was wrong with the picture. I needed wider inserts and that's what these are. They fit great and are comfortable. Boston bob

. Peggy, Tennessee

This is an amazing product! particularly to treat plantar fasciitis and wide, flat feet. I've been to a foot doctor several times and purchased ($400+) inserts over the years. The inserts gave out and the plantar fasciitis pain persisted. I searched the web and found a foot doctor (dr tom of detroitfootpain. Com) on youtube ( who recommended the powerstep arch support. Literally instantly the pain subsided! i was out walking with little pain and discomfort, just from wearing the shoe. Anyone who understands or has had plantar fasciitis knows how painful it is. And to have pain subside like that is (almost) magic. And, the powerstep is around $35! i've purchased two and will purchase more for my dress shoes and athletic shoes (6 total). Best product out there for insert/arch support.

V. Nees, Cambridgeshire says

This was purchased for a relative suffering from a severe pulled muscle. The therapist recommended this to aid the patient s arch. After a few uses, my relative explained it felt better and it was not uncomfortable. Note: this is an inset so if your padding is high on your shoe you need to remove it so that this insert will fit in. We had the sketchers padding removed to insert this product into the shoe. Worth it!

. Mahood, Nottingham

These are sooooo great. I have wide feet that are a huge pain to fit. These are perfect. They are firm, and i've decided that is what my feet like. Athletic shoe sizes are way to squishy for me and my feet end up aching after a few hours. I put these in my athletic shoes and i can go all day. Did 8 mile hike with them in my boots. I wear chaco sandals and this feels similar to those footbeds.

. Lorenz, Derbyshire says

I work in a production and assembly shop so i spend the majority of my day standing and walking from station to station. My feet legs and back hurt from standing on concrete all day. These inserts have solved all of those issues, i can stand all day without my feet and back on fire. I've had them for almost a year now and they haven't deformed or slipped out of place like other inserts i've tried. I will absolutely be buying more for my new pair or work boots.

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

. Theola, Colorado says

Not the best or the worst for my problem feet personally. Seem well made. I prefer dr scholls though, truthfully.

T. Wayt, Utah

I'm a big person and work between 8-10 hours a day 5-6 days a week so maybe that's why they don't last long. Within less than a month these begin to rip where the padding is, mostly near the toes. They help with my flat feet but at $35 a pop they can get pretty expensive if you have to replace them a lot.

Z. Lisa, Greenwich says

This review was written on day 3 and i've done about 6. 5 to 7 miles of walking. If anything changes i will update. It's hard enough to find shoes that fit, but when the insole maker covers every size from 3-11 but then make size 12 and size 13 share the same insole? c'mon, really? would it kill you to make one more mold? or rather make it a touch longer and let the people with size 12's trim a little. I'm somewhere around a size 12/6e or a 13/4e, perhaps only one shoe in a thousand comes in size 12. 5. It's nearly impossible to find anything that fits. I have a large big to and need a large square toe box. Also i have heel pain with shoes that don't have enough cushioning (since grade school and now i'm 46) and i need cushioning under the heel and ball and fore-part of my foot. I have had exactly one pair of shoes in the last 20+ years that have fit my feet correctly and had enough cushioning. I searched and bought every pair i found (1 pair) and nike stopped making them and they have since completely changed their sizing the toe box of their 4e shoes. New balance fit me ok in my 20's, but they changed long ago and i haven't had a pair of nb in about 15-20 years. I have normal arches and pronation. Ok, the reason i bought these - i very much need a cushioned shoe. The last shoes i bought don't have enough cushioning - one of two pair of shoes in the last 7 years that i have ever found that even remotely fit (if i ever find shoes that fit i buy them regardless of whether i need them because i know it will be 5 years or more before i find another pair that fits - even the same size in the same brand), . My wife uses this brand of insert and loves them but she gets the protech pro. That model is not available in the extra-wide size i need, so this was my only choice they have better heel cushioning than these. Her feet are a mess and she likes them very much. My feet are normal just big and wide. The length is a bit shorter than expected, a bit shorter ( 1/8" - 3/16") than what i would expect on a 12, much less a 13. Width is about right, advertised as 3e to 6e. I have a pair of 12 6e dress shoes and the width is about identical. This would probably not be a 6e in size 13, maybe a 3e or 4e and is 1/4" to 5/16" shorter than the inserts i removed from my size 13 4e shoes. The arch is quite high and firm - something i don't need this much of, but if you have fallen arches or over-pronation, this insert would probably help. Again i wouldn't have chosen these if there had been something else that better suited my needs. As for the arch itself it is too far back in the shoe, or perhaps just too long and for my foot could be moved forward (toward the toe) as much as 3/8" or a bit more? . I would like to try the powerstep felt topped inserts in my hunting boots, but no wide size. :(

H. Lynette, Thurrock

The middle part is really really stiff, not sure whether the insoles need a break-in or not, will change rating if the problem disappeared.

A. Dorothy, Bourgogne says

Seems no better than a stock insole - was not worth the extra money for me. If you're shoes don't fit right, insoles won't solve any problems. Look at your shoes and your socks first.

I. Cortney, Victoria

Seem to be ok, but the heel is fairly hard so my feet started to get sore after about 45 minutes

. Gloria, California says

The product fit well, but unfortunately wore out rather quickly. Ive been using mine for 2 months and they've already worn though. This is the second pair to do this. If the product stood up better i'd buy another pair but as of now i wont spend my money.

S. Shayna, Worcestershire

They help with the arch support but there is zero cushioning under the heel. I m on the fence with these. But they do help with the arches and help a little with the back pain associated with being on my feet all day.

X. Lawrence, Iowa says

This product is nice for support if you're a heavier person, however, as someone who used them every day my toe had worn a hole through to the bottom within a month and a half. Not acceptable for a heavier person product.

J. Meyer, Queensland

Size is 1/2 size too small. Be sure to size up when purchasing. . Minimal to moderate support. Not returning, but not my favorite pair of inserts. They're just enough too short that when walking, my toes go over the edge, making them awkward to wear. They're easily 1/4 inch shorter than my previous insoles, and have begun to fray on the ends (see photo) after one day of wear where i mostly sit at a computer for the day. Doubt they will hold up a whole week, buy i'm keeping them as backup.

N. Jackson, City of Bristol says

The insoles seemed to be good quality, but they were too short for my shoes, and too wide at the instep. The width across the heel and toes were great, too bad they didn't fit in those other two areas.

W. Hannah, Dudley

Probably the most uncomfortable insols i bave purchased. Will not buy again

F. Eva, Washington says

Good support but not very cushioning

O. Nicole, Baden-Wuerttemberg

They do help but wear out fairly quickly. Wouldn't be appropriate for someone who is on their feet all day, they'd wear out far too fast.

R. Guest, Connecticut says

Advertised as fitting foot sizes 3e to 6e but is only best suited for 3e. I have 4e shoes and after only two hours of use in my work shoes i was developing a blister on the underside of my little toe of my left foot and my big toe on my right foot.

L. Sheila, East Riding of Yorkshire

I wear a size12 4e mens shoe and these are a little big to fit in the shoe and are uncomfortable. They don't fit nearly as well as the other powersteps. Trying to return them and i see they are not elidgible to be returned so now i have to jump thru those necessary hoops to do so.

M. Paige, Quebec says

I have used and loved the powerstep pinnacle regular shoe insert for years and thought i would try the extra wide version for a better fit in my extra wide shoes. The extra wide insert fits perfectly inside my shoe but the arch support hits slightly too far back (toward heel) to be comfortable. I might try ordering a larger size and trimming the toe area to move the arch into a better position. Disappointing but still a great insert.

B. Valdez, Kensington and Chelsea

Too high. Takes up too much room in shoe, resulting in a much tighter fit.

P. Annette, Croydon says

Too narrow for size 13ee work boots , waste of $30

. Cageen, Bath and North East Somerset

I have theses powerstep wide fit insoles for 2wks only find my feet hurt a little less but my feet still hurt and i really don t see much of a difference

. Cecilia, Torbay says

These are truly wide, much wider than most otc insoles. Kudos for that: these are the only insoles i've ever found that are wide enough to support all five toe bones. The cushion is thick and fairly dense. It's too thick for some shoes, especially dress shoes. The heel cup is fairly aggressive; i trimmed part of it away with scissors. . Contrary to what another reviewer reported, these are actually made of three elements: a cushiony foam on top, a denser black foam on the bottom, and a rigid plastic orthotic arch support (as i found when i trimmed away the foam from the heel). In the end, for me these were too thick and too aggressive, by which i mean that the arch support was too high for my high arch, and the heel cup ended up hurting my heel. I really wanted to like these. You might have a different experience.

. Stacey, Limousin

Size 14-15, about 1 too short for size 15. What an absolute dissapointment!

E. Margaret, Harrow says

Although these are the exact same insoles from the foot doctor at half the price the texture and firmness isn't the same

. Brenda, Mississippi

These felt horrible, and for being for sizes 14-14. 5 wide, they didn't even fully fit my size 14 shoes.

C. Finch, Poole says

My arches are closer to my heel than the insoles support. I find these painful to wear because of the location of the arch support and will be returning them.

K. Nielsen, South Carolina

Very hard. I tried to get used to them because my doctor recommended them. They made my feet and arches hurt more.

. Pearce, Indiana says

They go flat and essentially become useless after 3 weeks. I weigh 225lbs. Junk.

G. Bertie, North Dakota

What little padding there is breaks down very fast leaving them unwearable in a couple weeks. I threw mine out and bought spenco

U. Matherly, Sachsen-Anhalt says

Made the sides of my feet hurt, tried for 2 months as it says to get your feet used to it, no go , they went in the trash

. Guest, Virginia

Waste of money. I bought these after researching the best insoles for plantar fasciitis these were ranked at the top. I put off putting them in my shoes until the other insoles were completely worn out. About a month or so ago i my feet started bothering me so it was time to replace. I wish i would have tried them sooner since they were a little too large. I wear 11 1/2 4e and there next size smaller i thought would not fit the wider shoe, well these are too big. I managed to rim them up but there is a hard piece of plastic in them but did get them to fit. They seemed comfortable the first week or two and since i am not on my feet too much i thought these were good. After the last week and a half having spent a little more time on my feet at work these have made my feet hurt so bad. Why put hard plastic in the insole. I could just as well stand barefoot on cement i think it would be more comfortable. . I would not, i repeat not, recommend these to anyone. Today i bought a pair that cost about 1/5 of these and just trying them on after installing they fell much better than these overpriced chunks of covered plastic. Time will tell with the cheap ones, they were the same brand as my last pair but couldn't find the same model. At least they can't be any worse.

Q. Nellie, Derby says

Unfortunately & irronically they are not a good fit for my feet, mainly my arch, other than that i would highly recommend this product.
