Dickies Generation Flex Men’s Youtility Scrub Pant (81003) 1337

Review for /dickies generation flex youtility scrub

Price was 20. I'm a patient care tech at a hospital. I'm 6'1", 270 pounds, and muscular, but i wear a 42 waist in old navy jeans. I bought the xl and they fit great. I've had them for three months, washing a few times a week, and they've held up great. The elastic waist is perfectly functional in keeping these from falling down, even laden with things in the pockets. I usually don't carry very heavy things. Just my wallet, scissors, and a bunch of gloves (yes, i have to carry around my own xl gloves). It's nice there is a drawstring in case the pants get too heavy, although i never use the drawstring. The pockets are the great thing about these pants. In case you can't tell from the description or pictures, there are side pockets (like jeans), one back pocket, deep cargo on the right leg, deep wide cargo on the left leg with a snap closure, shallow pockets on either side superior to the cargo pockets, and a bungee loop. If you're like me and the rooms don't have your size gloves, i can fit enough gloves in the right side pocket and left cargo pocket to last me for about 1/2 to 3/4 of the day. I don't use the shallow pockets for much because they're prone to having things fall out. I use the pockets to carry my wallet in the back, bunches of gloves in the right side and left cargo, bandage scissors, pen and marker clipped inside the right cargo, germicidal wipe packets in the right cargo, any extra paperwork in the right cargo (folded), dry-erase marker and any personal papers in the left side. Sometimes i put a few pairs of last-ditch gloves in the left shallow pocket, so i know when i've used those it's definitely time to go restock. The length is just about perfect. They only shrank a little in the wash, so now they're almost short, so as they ride down (immediately after walking) the length is perfect. I'm not treading on them dragging them through god knows what, nor am i getting them caught on the tongues of my shoes. The color is slightly brighter than the wine color of different brands. It's slightly more scarlet. That hasn't been an issue for me, but if your management is super detail oriented, you may want to check. The color difference becomes less noticeable as the garment fades slightly after washing. The only thing i would change is the velcro closure for the back pocket makes it difficult to get my wallet out. I would prefer a snap i could leave open, but that's just me. I don't know if perhaps the velcro has saved me from losing my wallet countless times.

Dickies Generation Flex Men's Youtility Scrub Pant Review (81003)

These dickies mens scrubs have been my go-to uniform for years! the quality and fit are top notch. Most scrubs are not made for men or anyone with shoulders. These are! . . Surprisingly, i wear a large shirt and large pants too. I am 6'1" and 210 pounds with broad chest and shoulders. The waste of the shirt is tapered so that it hugs your figure. Pockets everywhere! . . I have bought very many of these and will buy more! -T. Anonymous

  • Man, i love these scrub pants! besides the surgical scrub pants the hospital used to provide, these are the only ones that have actually fit me properly. With enough pockets to contain just about everything, they've proven themselves time and again as being comfortable, stylish, and useful. At this point, i've purchased enough pairs to last me an entire week - most in black, but with a few other colors as well to mix it up. Yes, most people will have to hem these due to the length, but that's generally expected with pants of this type.
  • These pants are comfortable and light weight, they run big and i ordered a size smaller than i usually wear but they worked. I ordered 1 pair and liked them so much that i ordered 2 more pairs, they're pricey but worth the money if you have a hard time finding comfortable scrub pants that are sturdy.
  • I gave it 3 stars, because the pockets on this particular pant are too low, rub the bottom of the sides of my knees when i carry things in the pocket, and actually lost my phone when i sat down, because the angle allows it to fall out. I would return them, but i just change my habits, nothing important or heavy goes in the cargo pockets. I hope dickies goes back to the old cargo design.
  • The cargo style is nice. Most of the pockets are great except for the 2 front pockets that are the same as normal jeans. Those 2 pockets are just to shallow and things fall out easy when sitting down. The other problem is that the navy color did not match other dickie's brand tops that were navy. There is a very obvious difference, this is important because i had to order colors for nursing school. Even though i am happy with them, i will most likely be looking for a different style or brand altogether.
  • They're fine but too baggy. Very baggy and need to be cuffed.

I like these scrubs. They fir well and are comfortable. Docked a star because the pewter pants are a lot lighter than the pewter top of the same brand, or cherokee or carhartt for that matter. Needed to return and replace with the dark pewter.

Construction is sturdy without being too heavy and i like the thinner draw string - doesn't create a big lump under your shirt like others do. . But - who the heck sizes these things? i thought i stepped into a deflated parade float when i tried on the medium. I own lots of scrubs and medium is generally within a reasonable range of fitting. I could have put these on a rodeo bull. I have a 32 waist and 30-31 inseam - well within the sizing chart specs, so the size chart needs to be redone for sure. . I exchanged for a small, which was a much better fit, however will have to take an inch or so off the length. . So if you are looking for a nice pair of well fitting scrubs, consider sizing down from your usual. If you are looking for a tarp to cover your truck bed, order a couple sizes up."

Cherokee Workwear Scrubs Men's Cargo Pant

These came as expected. I really love these since on work i make use of all the pockets. It has room that l like and the length is great for me. I prefer these to the women's since it has a lot more room in them. I can wear them and not feel like i'm wearing a male pant. I had some problems finding this scrub pants this time around and i hope its not going to be phased out.

My husband already had these in dark blue and loves them so ordered the wine in the same size but they are much larger and keep falling down. He's hoping they shrink. -Notice from U. Cecilia, Kentucky

My husband loves these pants! he is going through chemo and radiation and these are perfect to wear before and after treatments. I washed them first and they are now the perfect length. I will probably order more for him. Really comfortable, light weight and look good on!

- . RhondaI love these pants. They offer lots of pocket space for men. I wear these with my carthartt tops. I wouldn't wear anything else. I like that it has a place for my scissors.

These are my favorite scrubs to wear. Unlike hospital scrubs, where i have no clue what body type they modeled them after, these actually fit me like normal pants (mostly). I'd say that they are certainly baggy. The are also a little long on me (5'10"). The quality is certainly good as well. I also enjoy the fact they have elastic bands around the waist so i don't *have* to tie the string to keep them on. Too many stories from people where their hospital scrubs literally dropped to the ground. . Pros. - fit well. - almost looks like khakis. - looks a little more "dressed up" than other colors. - love the pockets, much better than hospital scrubs. . Cons. - none

The F.A.Q. for Dickies Generation Flex Men's Youtility Scrub Pant (81003)

These scrub pants are awesome. I love every aspect of them, except two. . I'll start with the pros:. . 1) they fit as expected. . 2) they match the same colored top that i ordered with them (chocolate). . 3) they have soooo many pockets! . . 4) the material stretches easily so i feel very confident squatting and moving around a lot in them without fear of any seams ripping. . 5) they have retained their color quite well after multiple washes. . Cons:. . 1) they're advertised as men's scrub pants, yet they lack a zip fly (could be a deal breaker for some). . 2) the rear pocket (for your wallet) is on the right side, whereas i have always kept my wallet in my left rear pocket.

I really like these scrub pants. The material is very comfortable and durable. There are so many pockets that i don't think i'll ever find a use for all of them. . My only complaint is the sizing. I traditionally wear xl scrub pants. I had to downsize to a large because the xl felt like i was wearing a pair of jnco jeans. While the large pants were just the right length and width around the legs, the waist is on the small side. It has an elastic band, which is unusual for scrub pants. However, i have a 37" waist. The large waistband is a bit too constricting for me. The xl waistband was just the perfect width, but like i said, the legs were enormous. I suppose if i could drop a few inches in my waist then they'd fit better. But that's easier said than done.

I always go with this brand. Fits well, plenty of cargo space. Helpful hint as i have worn scrubs in an er environment for 15 years. Wash with cold water, borax, and air dry. This prevents fading & keeps them softer. I attribute the borax for them still being soft.

I really like this line of scrubs. They are heavier than most and have decorative stitching that is subtle but makes them a bit "beefier. " they also have tons of pockets. Tons. You have to remember which pocket you put your stuff in! there are some little tiny ones that i have no idea what they would work for. But whatever. When it comes to pockets, better too many than too few! . The matching shirt is great, but i would like another loop for attaching id tag on the right upper chest. The pants are awesome, but the pockets on the side of the legs let things fall out when i sit down. One of them has a snap closure, but the other is open. I actually sewed the back 1. 5" of the top opening on the side leg pockets shut. That made the opening to the pocket a bit smaller, but my change and keys no longer slid out when i sat down. It is actually a great little invention (i guess a snap or velcro would be better as then it could be opened the whole way if needed) - and would suggest it gets added to these pants in the future.

P. Carrie, Utah

My only complaint about these super comfortable work pants is that they're easier to tear than i expected. If you're going to be sitting on sharp objects like i do inside power generation turbines that are being overhauled make sure that you bring an extra pair to work with you. Otherwise they fit great and allow tons of freedom of movement. They have tons of pockets with snaps that you can use for just about anything from wallets, phones or tools. The ties remain tight once tied. They also dry a lot faster than cotton scrubs. Anyone who works in contaminated areas of nuclear power plants and i required to wear scrubs to work these are better than average.

I. Parker, Wiltshire says

I've tried alot of different companies for scrubs and these are the best by far. I bought a pair initially to test them out they are nice and baggy so they don't feel like your wearing tights. Also the material is breathable, and let's face if your walking/running around all day us guys want some form of air circulation, that other brands that have that plasticy feel to them do no provide. Pockets are numerous and the main ones are deep so when you sit down things don't fall out. Some of the smaller side pockets i don't use because well i have no clue what i can even put in them. . Only downside is no zipper in the front but not a big deal for me, and since then i've bought 7 more pairs in different colors.

Y. Mays, Indiana

Update 12/7/16 - ordered another set of these. . Love the stretchy portion of the waist and legs. Lots of flexibility in these pants. They seem a bit long, but i really do not like to see ankles when i sit down. Fits my fluffiness at 36w x 32l. . Odd pockets, velcro where you don't need it. . Minus 1 star for the pocketinsanity. . 38 waist, 5'11"

U. Anderson, New Brunswick says

Gen flex scrubs are the best scrubs out there for guys, i have tried them all. They hold up to 300+ washes and look good for the first 200. The only time i have torn is when riding my bike to work. . Patients regularly grab onto them and steady themselves, and i haven't noticed any stretching from this. . Dickies gen flex is all i buy now. . They do run big.

J. Margaret, Torbay

These pants are the bestest ever pants for my work. While these are marketed for men i am a lady and they fit so well. I am tall and they are a great length. They wash well and do not shrink, i will order more. The material is awesome.

N. Elida, Warwickshire says

Needed something very comfortable for lounging around the house in the early morning or late evening. I also needed something that i could wear out in public for picking up the morning papers or for watering the dog. . The pants worked to perfection. Though they were too long for my 30" inseam, scissors, seaming tape and a hot iron quickly remedied the issue. Ordered a large (i'm a 34-35" waist) and the elastic waistband fits to perfection and leaves room for that extra sierra nevada or two! plus they really are comfortable. Would highly recommend if you are looking for lightweight, comfortable pants for work, or, in my case, leisure.

X. Claudia, Norfolk

Best fit for my body type. Average waist with a meaty rump. Med fits me with a 36-38" hip (my weight fluctuates due to medication). The deep pockets on the sides are actually better for holding my wallet than the shallow butt pocket is. My wallet actually falls out of the butt pocket despite the velcro. But even sitting down, never comes out of the right leg side pocket. I've actually never had anything fall out of the deep leg side pockets. . The heel of the pant leg may catch under your shoe heels if you wear very low profile shoes ie vans, or other canvas shoes. But higher profile shoes, dankos, nike air max, or even some non-slip work shoes alleviate this problem. I also got around it by rolling the pant leg up 1-2x on the hem. It's more the girth of the pant leg vs the girth at the top of your shoes than anything. Meatier shoes hold the pant legs up and off the ground better. I also have shorter than average legs.

G. Bertie, Bayern says

I work in a hospital lab and dickies gen. Flex are my go to scrubs. They fit well, not to large or small. They are durable and stand up to multiple washings with limited wear. They have plenty of pockets for pens etc. I haven't found a brand that i like as much as these. The only thing i would like to see from these is maybe an option with rip-stop fabric. I commute via bike so a tear means they are destined for the garbage.

R. Gloria, Leeds

My favorite pants. I have been wearing scrubs since 2007 and these are by far the best quality, best fit, longest lasting, most comfortable, easy care pants i have worn. . It is virtually impossible for women with a small waist and larger (much larger) hips and thick thighs to find anything in a woman's style that fits without pulling/being too tight in the thighs and especially the butt. Also an issue for apple bottomed women is that low rise pants - even mid rise pants will not cover us in the same place in the back as it does in the front. Women's pants pull way too low and you can't sit or bend down without too too much showing. Even the women's version of this pant. . Many unisex pants can be pulled up to the bra line and not high enough in the back. These are perfect.

. Marguerite, Montana says

I now have 3 pairs of these and i'm female. . I like them better than the female version because they're more functional. The waist band is a true elastic band and not the stupid ones they put on the women's pants. The pockets are better and they're long enough without needing talls. I wish companies would start making women's scrubs to be more functional

S. Sandra, Bretagne says

My hubby likes his pants a little baggy, so they were perfect for him. Ordered an xl, which is what he usually wears, and they are just a bit big. He is obsessed with these pants! he's a property manager, and wears them almost every day to work on the properties - so he can be a little tough on them. The pockets hold all the stuff he carries around. They hold up well, i wash them weekly and we haven't had any issues. I think he owns 3 or 4 pairs, it really is all he wears!

W. Mahood, Calderdale

Great fitting pants. I normally wear 36x32 pants and i got these in a large. These are very comfortable and have lots of pockets. I hope they keep their nice color. I have received many compliments from my coworkers. The navy blue with the silver double stitching looks really cool.

K. Colleen, Lewisham says

Perfect (well, xxl is a tiny bit big, but i'm used to that; i'm 6'1", 240, but i wear 30 inch inseam pants. ) i'm a drawstring kinda guy. I live in south florida and need all-day, light-weight sun and mosquito protection, even while maintaining boats, and vehicles, and the yard. I frequently wear scrubs, or pajama-type coverings, but they don't last. These are sturdy utility pants; toss 'em on to pick up the yard, go get groceries, run errands, or sit on the tiki. They are double, and in some places, triple stitched, with an elastic waistband along with the drawstring. The blue color is dark, almost black. And lots of pockets (6) including a velcro secured wallet pocket, cargo pockets on both sides, and a perfect iphone 5/otter-box pocket on the left upper thigh (probably wont fit an iphone6. ) really, just right. Getting more.

O. Alice, Saskatchewan

I like these as an okay substitute for linen cargo pants which are getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price. They're quite comfortable. Believe them when they say the pants are long (32" at least). If you do buy them too big (as i did the first time around), it's harder to cinch the waist enough, but i did. The only thing i'm not 100% happy about is the lower right leg pocket. It's not shallow, but it doesn't have a closure, and when sitting, things can work they're way up the pocket and drop out onto your chair or the floor when you then stand. I don't think i've actually lost anything, but i'm not 100% sure that i might have before i noticed how things shift upward.

This is my first time ordering scrubs as i just started as a cna. The thing i like about these scrubs is that they look really classy and they are super comfortable at the same time. Even if i'm not going into work, i often find myself wanting to put these on because of how relaxing they feel. They are breathable but not too thin at all. . With regards to size, i ended up going with a medium. I'm 5' 10' and weight 165. I usually wear a 32 waist or a 31, so i went back and forth between ordering a large or going with the medium. In the end though i ordered both sizes because i couldn't decide which would fit better. I tried them both on and the medium is definitely a better fit. I could probably have pulled off a large, but the medium still has plenty of room in leg width. With the large, i was afraid that the bottom of the scrubs would hit the ground and fray.

H. Barbara, Lancashire

Needed something to slip in to in the evening if and when i need to run down to the campground for a late arrival. Feel a little funny in my jams so bought these thinking they will fit the bill. Tried them on and they fit great right out of the bag. Great as leisure pants also. Navy color with a white tee shirt makes for a nice combination. I have several dickie products and like them all. Not high dollar but good quality. Just a great set of pants for uses outlined prior. Others complained about the legs being too long. I'm 6'2" and they fit like the old bell bottoms. Yes, i remember those. At 74 i don't remember much but i do those. Got for it. Multi purpose pants that look sharp.

D. Hurst, Kirklees says

Been year or so since i bought these and they look and feel fine. The black isn't as deep anymore but thats time for you. But they're still a great pair of scrubs with pockets and feel to it.

V. Julia, Michigan

I am a psych nurse. Wearing scrubs is not required but merely encouraged. That being said, i wear these every time i have a clean pair. I have never purchased the tops, and probably never will. I don't like scrub tops, no matter how comfortable. But the bottoms? let's put it this way: i purchased three pair three years ago, and i wish i had purchased 10. They get more comfortable with each wear, and at this point, they are more cozy than my best pair of pajamas and faded old blue jeans. I feel like i am getting away with something when i get to wear these to work. Not one stitch has come out. There are no holes. No fabric tears. I highly recommend the scrub bottoms for anyone who likes comfort, an array of pockets, and longevity. They look pretty good on me, too, or so my wife tells me.

B. Pamela, Alabama says

These pants are so comfortable and have so many pockets! they do run large, but that just could be because they are in men's sizes. They're also very long, which is a huge relief for me! ladies, i would recommend ordering smaller than what you normally wear because of the fit and roomy design of the pants. I am 5'10, 150lbs, athletic build and i ordered a medium, but i'll be ordering a small the next time. You'll love these pants :)

Z. Williams, North Carolina

I just recipe loved two of the three pair i ordered. I have ordered in the past so i knew what great quality i was getting in scrub pants. Just remember they run a little on the big size i would normally wear a medium but the small fits perfect. They are a little long in the legs than i remembered but with washing in hot/warm water they will shrink a bit. Overall they are comfortable and wear well. I still wear the first order and they are in good shape and they were bought in 2012. Well worth the money and i will order again. And hey it is nice to put on a small pair of pants makes me feel skinny.

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

C. Denise, Wandsworth says

I ordered a 2xl . That is what i wear in shirts and such however these are way to long. I wish the site would had mentioned this. I am not going to bother sending back. Because i will have the altered. However will not buy this brand again. I have found that the grey's anatomy scrubs look and feel . And fit better in my humble opinion.

W. Susan, Thurrock

I bought the large, i'm a guy 6'2" tall, so these run really small, but the thing that really bothered me is how think the fabric is, i used to buy dickie's and they always felt thick and waterproof, not these , they're very thin and to top it off, they have no fly zippers , so if you are like me a busy nurse, and you need to take a piss, you have to take your pants down. Really sucks.

F. Ruby, Vermont says

I like the look bought 5 pairs now. The only problems seem to be the material on mine is a bit long in the legs. So the pants dragged on the ground a bit. One pair i stepped on the leg opening and ripped pretty bad not reparable. I also did this with another pair and its still wearable but might rip more eventually. I was sized according to the chart as a xxxx but i wanted to be safe and get a size bigger. Might buy again but the material could be a bit stronger. They did rip rather easily.

A. Edith, Limousin

Great fit. Check. Great material. Check. Great color. Not so fast. How can you get khaki color wrong? !

Y. Audrey, Alaska says

When i first got these scrub pants i loved them. They were a little short for me (i'm 6'3" so it was kind of expected. ). One side pocket comes with a button to help keep things in your pocket. The rear pocket has velcro so it can secure your wallet well. The elastic band was nice and the tie strings kept them in place. . The front pockets were a little shallow so my phone and other things would fall out of my pockets when i sit. The biggest issue i had though was the shrinking. They got so short that when i stand you can see my ankles and when i sit they would go half way up my legs. For the price i paid for these i would expect them not to shrink. . I would not buy them again.

P. Wayt, Wirral

Not sure exactly why they call this "mens. " it doesn't even have a zipper (which i knew before ordering) i love the scrub top to match this, however the bottoms are clearly unisex cut. They are square cut as hell and have no shape. Baggy legs and a boxy hip. The fabric is great, but the cut is terrible. Jockey has the best cut bottoms, but they have dc'd most of their mens line, sadly.

B. Patricia, North Carolina says

I've purchased dickies clothing for years and have never had a problem with them. I have shirts from 2005 that are still in very good condition without fading or wear. So when i started my new job as an rn in a local hospital, my first choice in scrubs were dickies and i was excited to order these for my new job. . That excitement quickly faded along with the scrubs, unfortunately. I purchased two pairs of scrub tops and bottoms, and within the first week of using them they have already begun to fade. The tops are showing discoloration around the collar, the seams on the shoulder, and on the front of the chest, and the bottoms are showing severe discoloration around the bottoms of the legs. To compare, i also have two sets of cherokee brand scrubs that are years old, and they have yet to show any wear. . I've worn dickies for years, one of the few brands i actually stay loyal to where clothing is concerned because they've always been a hallmark of high quality and durability, but these experiences make it difficult to continue recommending the brand. It is a true disappointment for a favorite company.

K. Miller, Kirklees

Color is off. I wear wine colored scrubs for work. These are not wine, they don't match my other dickies wine colored scrub tops or any other brand. I look stupid when i wear them. I am stuck with two pairs. Wtf? there are no other dickies colors that match. I am now just stuck with $60 worth of non-matching scrub pants. What a rip-off.

O. Angela, Vermont says

Way too short. I'm 6'2" and these barely came to my calfs. Not at all what i expected.

D. Rowe, Halton

The fabric quality is good and the design is ok, but the sizing is way off. I ended up getting extra-smalls, but they were still too large.

E. Rita, Cornwall says

Drawstrings were a little short; i knot each drawstring tip a couple of times so that it doesn't fall through the hole parts of the elastic band; and i like to double tie as well; i guess i anticipated the strings to have enough slack since every other scrub pants i've ever owned never had this issue. Plus, it's obnoxiously shinier/glossier than all of the scrub tops that i own. It's like they sprayed a clear coat on them. Maybe it's waterproof.

. Emily, Herefordshire

So going to be honest. The pants are decent. Cargo pockets on the sides are huge and the pockets are shallow. . I have put my cell phone in my pockets, it slides right out when i sit down no matter what i do. So i put my phone in my cargo pockets, again it slides out because they are to big and deep. . Great if u have a clipboard or alot of stuff. But these pair of pants won't be getting used that much by me.

L. Betty, Nevada says

Bought my normal size for scrubs and these things were huge. I havw to pull them up to my bellybutton to even wear them. Even the inseam is big.

N. Valdez, Queensland

The right pant pocket is stitched together. 2 pairs the same way. I cant use it for anything. Also developed a hole in the shirt pocket after a month when i had owned my previous dickies for 2 years no problem.

X. Carrie, Oxfordshire says

I really like dickies scrubs. I wore my last set weekly for three years. The generation flex mens youtility scrub pants fit fine, but the pocket layout is not the same and i don't like it. The cargo pocket (where i used to keep my phone) is lower and now my phone swings back and forth when i walk and i have to bend over to reach it. Above the cargo pocket is a pocket that is too small to be useful at holding anything i use daily. Also, there is no zipper and the pant ties are thinner than my old dickies. I wear hunter green and these hunter green pants don't match my old hunter green scrubs, which means i have to buy tops to match.

Z. Susana, Dorset

Color and fabric are great but did not fit me. I wear men's xl due to my heavy legs, women's sizing are just too tight. Legs and butt fit fine but front of pants went all the way up to my chest. I tried every which way to fold it to wear but ended up returning them. Online store has a very easy return process if you ever need to use it.

I. Evelyn, Reading says

Bought these for my husband. He usually wears an xl but i ordered a large for a snug fit but it was still baggy and unflattering.

. Theresa, Barking and Dagenham

Pants are to short for a 6' person fit is great but needed a 2xl t. Online store didn't carry that size

J. Noguera, Medway says

Purchased at the same time as some landau scrubs. The dickies pockets are too short and the legs are close to bell bottoms. Also there is no zipper and the materisl seems flimsy. I don't expect them to last long. At this price point i expect better quality. I bought one pair of these and one pair of the landau's with a plan to buy more of the better quality scrubs. Will be ordering landau.

T. Isabel, Ile-de-France

Pants are about 3 to 4 inches too long. Ridiculous length. Had to roll them up at work to wear them. I'm 6'1.

Q. Bertie, Cambridgeshire says

These scrub pants fade very quickly. Cycling between four different pairs of pants, within six months these pants were very faded. This is really unfortunate, because they are quite comfortable, and have lots of pockets. Also, if you were over 6 feet tall you would be better served by ordering these in a long length, with the 34 inch inseam.

H. Melissa, Midi-Pyrenees

Update:. . Pants fit perfectly in waist (l - 34"), but are short in legs (i'm 6'3"). Inseam can be altered maybe 1/4", but not enough for taller guys. Tall sizes can be found at dickies website, but colors limited. A better choice might be carhartt tall men's multi-cargo scrub pant (carhartt men's tall ripstop multi-cargo scrub pant, olive, large/tall). Save a few bucks and add a couple of inches to inseam (34"). Have ordered the carhartt, and may return the dickies.

M. June, Bolton says

I've been an rn for 20 years now and the majority of my scrubs have been cherokee. Over the last month i had been seeing some good reviews of dickies scrubs so thought, might as well give them a try. I ordered these scrub pants with a separate type of dickies scrub top, same color. This is what i have found. . First, the "matching" scrub top is a dickies v-neck scrub top in the matching color. The scrub top was ordered directly from online store (seller) and arrived within 2 days. The pants were ordered from two different independent sellers listing on online store. First order never arrived. After about 4 weeks, i contact them and asked them why they generated a shipping label but the product never seemed to reach the post office, and they agreed with me the item was lost and ultimately cancelled the order and issued a refund. I ordered the same item again, different seller (but still on online store marketplace) and it took about 2 weeks to receive the item. On arrival, i noticed that even though top and pants were ordered as the same color, they have a noticeable difference in shade. The top is a lighter version of the hunter green that i had selected, the pants are a darker version. Not very happy about this. It is the same manufacturer, same color - but not the same. . As for the pants themselves. In general the pockets are ok. There are 2 hand pockets, 1 back pocket, and 4 patch pockets. The upper patch pockets don't seen very useful, they are only about 3 inches deep. Not sure what i can put in them, they seem too shallow to be of any real use. There is a pretty large, bright (red) dickies logo attached to one of the patch pockets. It is a little glaring, i would have preferred a subtler logo. At least not so bright red, i understand manufacturer's want people to know who makes their product, but this is a little overboard. . The worst thing about the pants is a lack of zipper fly. I mean, really? this is marketed and sold as "men's" scrub pants, but no zipper fly? i have to pull my pants down like a female to use the urinal. Not impressed and not happy with that. All the other men's brand scrub pants that i have purchased have zip flies, and i do not understand why dickies chose to leave this out. . Bottom line, not going to buy anymore of this version scrub pants. And for all you reading this, beware of trying to match colors across different product types, even if both products are dickies.

G. Sheila, Lincolnshire

I've pretty much only worn these scrub pants for years. These ran slightly smaller than usual. Maybe it was just a random thing. But i adore these scrubs. As a female i feel they give lots of room to move

S. Wimbish, Nord-Pas-de-Calais says

These run very large. My husband wears 44 x 32 so we ordered 3x just to be sure they were comfortable staying at home/lounging pants. He couldn't keep them up even with the draw string. :) we've exchanged for 1x but haven't received them yet.

U. Nicole, Florida

Did not fit so should not rate at all. I did return
