Crocs Kids’ Handle It Rain Boot (12803 4o5) 561

Review for /crocs kids handle rain boot

Price was 24. I ordered the smallest size available (size 6), hoping that they would fit my daughter who is in a size 4. 5 in stride rite shoes. After reading a lot of the reviews saying they run 2 sizes too small, but they don t. They fit like a 6 and are huge on my daughter s size 4. 5 feet. She loves them though so i let her play with them but not wear them cuz they make her walk funny since they re too big. But when they do fit eventually they seem like they ll be very comfortable. We re keeping them since they will fit eventually. But they do run true to size, maybe a half size small but definitely not more than that. I wish crocs sold these in smaller sizes since most babies are walking long before their feet reach a size 6. Also the color fushia is slightly darker than pictured.

I needed a new pair of rain boots for my 7 year old son. I wanted something he could easily slip on and off quickly and that were light weight. Most rain boots sold in stores are so heavy and cumbersome and i knew his croc sandles have always been his favorite since he was little, that these boots would be perfect. They are super light weight with no thick sole. They have super helpful handles that make pulling them on easy. My boy prefers to run around the yard barefoot but with winter here i had to insist he wear shoes and these have been a good solution, i just need to make sure he wears socks with them otherwise they rub and hurt his feet. I will definitely buy these again! The Best kids' handle it rain ( Sep 2019 ) | Us Crog1-Shoes Review Benefits Crocs Kids' Handle It Rain Boot Waterproof rain boot. Easy pull-on handles at sides. Crocs Kids' Handle It Rain Boot Review (12803 4o5)

Super cute, my granddaughter loves her yellow boots. Jumping into puddles, kicking up and splashing around. Great for me to just wipe out , they seem to get wet inside, but better then ruining her little shoes. Love the handles , helps in putting them on. She is in size 6 i purchased a size 7 a little big but she needs to use socks because it is getting a little cold weather , plus her foot slides in easier. Life is grand with the little yellow boots. -F. Shirley

Crocs Kids Handle Rain Boot Shoes

  • I bought a pair of these for my four-year-old and one for my 1 1/2-year-old. The colors and quality are perfect. We got a green pair and a yellow pair and they are the cutest things ever. . The fit on my 4-year-old is perfect. They come in a little bit at the ankles and make the shoes stay on better than any other rain boot he's had. They don't fall off when i pick him up or put him in a cart which is great. That being said, the ankle is too tight on my toddler. He still has chunky little baby thighs and ankles and the boots are really hard to get off of him. I even got him a size up from his normal shoe. . I think that i would still buy these again because they are adorable and fit really well on an older kid. I will probably try again for my baby once he loses his chunk.
  • My niece had a pair of pink rain boots that she loved so much - to the point that she wore them well past having outgrown them. She wore them rain or shine - indoors and out. Needless to say, it was going to be tough replacing them with just any old boot. . I purchased her these crocs, which fit true to size and are "sooo comfortable" in her opinion. These are now her favorite rain boots, which quickly and seamlessly took the place of the pair-that-shall-no-longer-be-mentioned. She's already asked for another when her toes outgrow these.
  • I really like these, they are lightweight and the colour is lovely but i just couldn't get the right size. I bought two different pairs to try and make it work but they just had way too much space around the foot.
  • I like how light weight they are for our newly walking 15 month old. We got his true size toddler 6 but the shafts were too narrow for his chunky legs. We returned them for size seven which are too big in the foot but fit his leg. He weighs 28 pounds and is 31 1/4" tall. I wish crocks would put a little elastic give along the back of the rim of the boot then they would be 5 star.
  • My daughter had a pair of these previously and refused to wear anything else. So when she outgrew those we got here these as a replacement. Unfortunately the leg holes are much too tight, they don't seem to be any bigger than the smaller pair we had before. It is a struggle getting these boots on and off and my daughter doesn't want to wear them.

These boots are so cute! i ordered a pair in cerulean blue and candy pink and they look absolutely adorable on my kids. They fit as expected and do a great job keeping little feet dry on rainy days. Be warned they are very stiff and would be hard to play in.

Click to see NoticeCrocs Kids' Handle It Rain Boot (12803 4o5)"This is our son's second pair of these. He loves them. The handles make it easy to take off and put on until his foot gets too big (hence the second pair). The soles do wear down compared to a standard rubber boot but kids grow fast so that was not an issue. The tradeoff to quick wear is that softness comfort. The boots give against the foot and so feel more comfortable than a standard boot. 4 stars because the sole could be tougher. Both for the wear and keeping sharp sticks out. We did have a close call towards the end of the boot's life. 4 year old stepped on a stick in the brush and it stuck into the boot, right between his toes. The sole was about half the original thickness at this time. Those old boots are still fine looking but due to the wear i don't think we will pass them down to the 2yr old."

I was looking for rainboots for my 2 year old to use on rainy days and for playing in muddy areas, and i'm incredibly happy with these rainboots! i listened to other reviews and ended up purchasing two sizes larger than her usual size. (she's a 6 and i ordered an 8) they are just big enough for her to wear socks and still have room to grow but not too big where she can't walk and run in them. I was worried about no inside lining, but i'm so glad it doesn't! toddlers like to splash in puddles and get dirty and these are perfect for quickly hosing down to clean. Plus these have nice handles that she can use to pull them on herself!

Best crocs kids' handle it rain boot (12803 4o5) in review

I admit i was heartbroken when i went to target and learned that the hunter boots for toddlers had sold out within an hour of stocking. Well. . . Thank goodness they were! these crocs boots are absolutely perfect. . Pros:. - incredibly light-weight. - remarkable grip. I can seriously attest to this - i have probably the fastest moving, most accident-prone little 3 year old on the planet. Shoes that don't grip are a deal-breaker for us because we definitely can't lose any more brain cells to concussions. And these boots have great grip for him - no spills! we also bought these in a size for him to grow into, with no loss of traction. Huge plus! . - color - a little darker than advertised, but a nice dark blue. - ease of use: my 3 year-old has no trouble pulling these boots on himself and taking them off. No need to jam the little toes into this boot or stomp around the house. They slip on, and then (somehow, magically) stay on! . - easy to clean: just hose them off and let them dry! . . Cons:. - zero. They are incredible. . Pro tip: if your kid is about to outgrow the size down, you can easily size up in these for maximum wearing and no issues with grip or real issues with fit. Even with room in the toe, we've had no issues with these. . Pro tip: for maximum puddle fun, we found a pair of water-proof "splash pants" ( that we love. We let him get all kinds of muddy and then toss the pants into the wash. It's awesome. . Haven't tried these in the winter, but i bet with a thick sock or liner, these puppies would hold up nicely in the snow. More to come once we try it.

Q. Shawna, Newfoundland and Labrador says

The rain has been unusually generous this year in california this year, and in the bay area it's been enough where sending the kids to school in rain boots hasn't been too bad of an idea. Unfortunately for us, this was the year that our son's western chief kids solid firechief rain boot(toddler/little kid/big kid), black, 1 m us little kid decided to develop a huge rip in the back seam and cause a miserable leak in my son's right boot. I purchased that boot in nov 2015 and it lasted one rainy season as stormaggedon 2015 never actually showed up and instead waited until 2016-2017. The crocs rain boots seem to be a great replacement boot. First off, these are much lighter than other rain boots. True to croc fashion, these are extremely lightweight and molded into one piece with no seams. The boots are comfortable for my kid to wear, and he loves that they're literally half the weight of his old boots. He's had no issues with leaks, and because there's no seams, it's unlikely a tear would happen. I have been keeping an eye out for wear, and despite daily use, many stomps through puddles, and running around like an ant on speed, the boots seem to be holding up quite well to my kid's use. . Unfortunately, like all other crocs, these have no type of lining in them. This was not an issue for us as it's an easy fix - simply wear a thick pair of socks and your kid is good to go. Another issue is that these boots do tend to run on a smaller size. Based on other reviews, i ended up ordering a size up (size 3 instead of size 2) and the boots fit my kid well. I can imagine the size 2 may have been a snug, but can't positively say as i didn't order two pairs for comparison. Either way, there is a little wiggle room for my boy to grow into this boot. For those who have purchased western chief boots, those run big - i would go a size up if ordering the crocs. Overall, great lightweight rain boot for kids - i'll update down the line when these wear out and develop leaks - if any.

J. Juliana, Haringey

I absolutely love these! this is the 3rd pair of rain boots i purchased for my 20 month old and they are the only ones i kept. They are the only ones my son can easily walk in. They are so lightweight, easy to get on and off, and they stay on my son's foot even though they are a size too big. They are also so easy to clean. Just rinse them off and let them dry. I'm so happy i purchased them and would highly recommend. Especially for really little kids who are still pretty new at walking. They are quite a bit more expensive than the other rain boots on the market, but they are worth every penny.

E. Cortney, Rutland says

These boots look great, are true to size and very light weight - a quality that is very desirable for toddler boots. My 2 yr old is a size 5 and i got the size 6 based on other reviewers and it fits a bit larger as expected. He still can walk and run in them with room to grow. Right now his feet can get into them easily, will see how easy it will be to get them on when he is actually a size 6. I got the boots in yellow color and my child was very eager to wear these even when it wasn't raining and he looked comfortable with no rains and outside temp. In the 80s. He is a skinny kid so fitting in the calves is not an issue for him ( see pics for fit). Haven't tried these yet in torrential rains or even light rains but i am guessing it will be alright.

A. Angela, Sefton

We love love love these - the only reason i gave them stars instead of five is because - as others have mentioned - the leg hole is very narrow. Our little girl was about a year old when we bought these. She wore a size 4. 5 shoe, so they were plenty long. But we knew we'd have trouble the first time we put them on her because the leg hole was just a little bit big. Not what you would expect for that size at all. She know actually wears a size 6 and it takes a lot of pulling to get them on. That said, these are wonderful rain and muck boots. Just hose them off - inside and out - and they're clean again. They are so close to perfect, i'm willing to put up with the narrow leg opening and just buy a bigger size.

P. Florence, Florida says

Update (dec. 2015):. . These are still fantastic boots and have held up really well. As noted in my original review below, we ordered these four sizes up because we wanted to get more use out of them. Now that our son wears almost a 10 (he's about a 9. 5 right now), these boots are too small; we cannot get his feet in them. So, i would say they run about 1 size too small. Hope that helps. . Original review (nov. 2014):. . I must've spent two hours one weekend looking at all the toddler rainboots on online store. Most seemed more than i wanted to spend; many would warn that the boots were deceptively heavy and/or impossible to take on and off; and some boots would appear perfect until that one review would mention how the heel separated from the boot after just a few wears. . Then i found these. To be clear: at first, i cringed that these were crocs. But they were a decent price, and so i took a gamble. . So far, so good, folks! we are quite, quite pleased with these boots, and here are all the reasons why:. . 1) they are easy to put on and take off-the handles help, but the structure of the boot works, too. 2) they are so lightweight compared to other boots. For comparison purposes, i picked up my nephew's (same age as my son) rainboots and i felt like i was carrying two little bricks. Why is this important? your young'un can (theoretically) walk more easily in the boots if they're lighter and the heel is less likely to separate from the boot. 3) the boots have no lining or anything, which we think is great-you can just leave them outside for the night, or hose them down, and you don't have to worry about any smell. . Some things to note:. 1) order several sizes up! we went up four sizes and they are working out great. We cringe at having to buy new shoes so often, so any time we can cut a corner, we do. And the funny thing is, the size 10s actually don't look much bigger than his regular shoes at all when you look at the soles. And i've also read that these boots run small, so if it's for a cost-savings reason or for no reason at all, it sounds like ordering up is the way to go because these boots run small. 2) though the boots are lightweight, it may take some time for your young'un to walk properly in these boots. Our son looks like a wounded cowboy when he walks around in these, although it gets less weird every time he puts them on. 3) our color choices when we bought this boot were "sea blue" (which is what we bought), fuchsia, and carnation. We chose the sea blue, but it's really pretty much periwinkle, which can lean a little girl because of the purple tones in it. We're okay with that, and by the time our son wouldn't be okay with that, he'll have outgrown these boots. But i bring it up because i now see a yellow color that wasn't available, and i see that others in the past have ordered black, so be sure to check back frequently. . In sum, this is a great boot that allows our son to do his favorite thing in the world: chase his dog through puddles and try to splash the dog (who also loves it). The boot is easy to put on and take off, is easy to clean, and appears to be enjoyed by our son. We will definitely be buying another pair when he outgrows this one-we hope in a "boy" color!

G. Joanna, Torbay

These are super lightweight and practical. My kid loved these so much he actually wore them to bed the first night after he got them. He was so excited that he could put them on all by himself with the big handles to pull them on. At 2 years old doing things by yourself is a big deal. Worth every penny. He is able to walk fine and they appear comfortable. Sometimes pants are a little awkward with them as they don't always have room to tuck inside the boot and the pants aren't always wide enough to go on the outside (plus they would get wet and defeat the purpose) so they end up bunched up at the top. My kid doesn't seem to mind one bit. Best boots for jumping in puddles and mud. Easy to wash off inside and out. I've even put crocs in the washing machine (though not these boots yet) and they come out squeaky clean. I will absolutely buy another pair when he outgrows these.

C. Isabel, Bury says

This is the second pair of croc rain boots we've ordered for our daughter, after she grew out of her last pair. We love how lightweight they are compared to traditional gumboots. She uses them for both rainy days at preschool (they go out in all weather) and at home for tending to the urban chicken coop. We knew from experience that while the length is good or even a bit larger for size, the ankle can be narrow. As long as our daughter wears socks, she doesn't notice but there's been a few days when she's removed socks and complained of how they rubbed. Never kept her from wearing them though. Love the easy handles and the ability to spray them off when the hoze (inside and out) without damaging them one bit. We gifted our old pair to a friend after she outgrew them and despite having two years of wear before that, our friend would have never known the difference. Good durability!

L. Emma, Pays de la Loire

Perfect quality for the price. It rains a lot in the east cost and my 3. 5yo loves jumping in middle puddles (obviously). I couldn't stomach the idea of paying too much for the designer over priced pair everyone seems to own, but also didn't like the quality of the ones available at a lower price point. These were the perfect compromise. They are still quite durable, have great traction on the soles, so i worry less about slipping, and love the handles on the sides to help my toddler slip her boots on. They're super cute, too.

H. Cunningham, Redcar and Cleveland says

These get a lot of use with our little farm kid. They fit a little large but thats okay as he can wear his socks with him. Boot is a very popular word in our house.

M. Guest, Nord-Pas-de-Calais

Love crocs rain boots . These aren't the first pair i have purchased for my kids. I love crocs over other boots because they have no lining to them - but my kids will wear them without socks and be perfect comfortable. Other boots with lining in them have the issue of getting soaked and smelly. Or if you have back to back rainy days then the rain boots aren't dried from the previous day and you're stuck with wet boots and then wet socks. These are very light weight for toddlers and sturdy enough for bigger kids.

Y. Nellie, Pennsylvania says

These are the best rain boots. We have been buying them for years as the kids grow. I don't think we will ever switch to a different brand, as long as they keep making them. The boots are squishy and comfy, made out of that squishy crocks rubbery material, sot the super-hard rubber of other brand's rain boots. They are easy for the kids to get on by themselves, and they stay on until the kids take them off. Then, it is easy for the kids to take them off by themselves. They run just a little smaller than expected. When it gets difficult for the kids to put them on or take them off, i know it is time to buy the next size up. They are easy to clean, and have good treads. The kids love wearing them in all kinds of weather, all year long. They especially like wearing them to dance class because there's no velcro to snag their tights and they are so easy to get on and off when they change their shoes. They don't ever leak, as they are molded to be all one piece so there is nothing to come apart. My kindergartener is very rough on shoes, and she does not wear these every day, but she does wear them a lot. They have even stood up to her. The only wear we had was, one time, they developed a small rip near the top handle from her being too rough. It didn't bother her too much, though, and continued to wear them for about another month before she grew to the next size and we replaced them. Only one pair has done this, out of the dozens (? ) that we have bought so far. I also like that they come in so many color choices. They enjoy picking out what color boots to get when it is time to buy the next size. I will continue to buy more of these as they grow!

I seriously cannot say enough about these boots! my son has had a pair for every shoe size he's been! he is a busy 4 year old who lives on a farm and has put these boots through everything! they are seriously the best boots we've ever purchased! they clean so easily, very comfortable and he has gotten so many compliments on them. I recommend them to all my friends and just to everyone! seriously, parents, buy these boots for all your children! you will not be disappointed, they fit as expected! my son already has a pair to grow in too! he wears them all seasons and even all day during school.

Z. Wells, Derby

These are the best lightweight, waterproof boots i have found for our boys. They are easy to put on themselves. We use them on rainy days and even in winter when it's not too cold. They are great for nature hikes and going into shallow streams. See the attached photo for these boots coming in from playing in muddy puddles. Good grooves grips on the soles. And my sons report no tripping over when wearing them even on rough terrain. One important note: make sure to wear socks. Our son gets sweaty feet from running around and his heels had a major blister from wearing these rubbers barefoot. We have progressive bought these boots from age 2 till now 5. Highly recommend these for toddlers to kids.

K. Veronica, Dorset says

This is the third pair of crocs boots i have gotten for my boys and they are great! my boys love them and they are lightweight and just perfect! they definitely stand the test of time as my first pair has gone through two boys and are still holding on great!

N. Eleanor, Maryland

My niece had a pair of pink rain boots that she wore until her mom figured out that she was crunching her toes to fit into them. Rain or shine, she wanted to wear those boots. . Well, during one rainy movie date with auntie, she let me know how her rain boots had grown too small and rubbed her feet. She needed better ones, you see! that was basically my clue that she really wanted another pair. . I purchased these rain boots in fuchsia after seeing their great reviews online. They were delivered within the online store prime 2-day window. She absolutely loved the surprise! . . They run true to size. I purchased them with some growing room, per her mom's instructions. We'll see how long these last before having to pry them from her grip. :)

U. Lynette, Arkansas says

My daughter loves her new rain boots. She's going to wear them to help dad when he goes fishing. She is 3 and just now transitioning into a size 9 toddler shoe (she's more like a 8. 5). These fit her perfectly. Which means they are a little smaller than her regular shoes (since her size 9 sandals are a little loose still). But any bigger and the boots would be too big. So i guess i'd say order the size your child currently wears if your child still has some wiggle room in their shoes.

X. Colleen, Bedfordshire

These are very lightweight which is nice. However, the color is misleading. I assumed by the pictures that these were a light blue, but they are actually more of a darker blue. My daughter has enough pink in her life so we will be keeping them, but i probably would've ordered purple had i known how dark these are.

. Elanor, Barnsley says

We absolutely love these boots! my daughter is not quite two and doesn't want to take them off! she loves that she can put them on herself like a big girl! we have had them for about two weeks now and no blisters! we live in texas and it's already hot so her feet get a little sweaty in them but i rinse them out after each wear and they are good to go the morning. They are very lightweight and aren't bulky like the other rain boots i've looked at. My little one is on the thin side. She weighs 22lbs and is about 34" tall so i was not worried about her calves not fitting like some of the reviews i read. If your child has thicker legs, these probably would not be comfortable but they are perfect for us with room to spare! the pink color is so cute! she wears a size 5 in regular shoes so i ordered her a size 6 in these and (as i expected) they are roomy but not so big that she trips and stumbles in them. These are definitely worth the money!

V. Campbell, Hertfordshire

Awesome! was very hesitant to purchase boots online but our grandson has just turned 6 and the size 12m fits perfectly. We have moved out to the country and this is an awesome boot for everyday wear that he can just slip on to avoid all the bugs! highly recommended, i purchased these boots in december, it is april and they have been worn many times and roughed up and as you can see they are still in perfect condition. The photo was taken today on his way to explore for more bugs!

Top /crocs kids handle rain boot Review

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

Q. Shayna, Portsmouth says

These boots are sturdy but very lightweight. We love the design of the handles that can be pulled on without breaking off like other brands. Downside is that they are short and don't cover the whole calf up to the knees. Toddlers don't just walk in puddles, they jump. This means water will get into the boots anyway unless you caution them every time. Perhaps better suited for older children.

. Paige, Tennessee

These crocs are absolutely adorable. Great little rain boots, the problem is that they're so narrow it's hard to get the foot in. Also they're super lightweight yet they are bulky so if your child is running it is definitely easy for them to trip. Ouch!

S. Courtney, Michigan says

I don't know why i have bought these i know that one sweats in crocs but wow these are pretty bad. That sad my child loves wearing them from the color to the fit something is working for her.

H. Sheila, North Somerset

We bought this show for our daughter. She loves it when it came in. . Pros: it would keep her feet dry during the rainy season. It is pink. They are light weight. . Cons: she needed assistance to put them on at first. But we taught her to use the handles on the side to pull up the rain boots and that helped. She can wear them for about an hour and then she is done. She was having a hard time walking them them on. She would say that her feet were sore. . We are from hawaii and we don't need rain boots as often as other places but they would work for the immediate need!

I. Joanne, Torbay says

I purchased these boots for my grandson as part of his christmas gift. He loved them and so did we, until they tore from the top and down the side. He is 2 1/2 so it s not like he s super rough with them. In fact, he hasn t even had the opportunity to wear them that often. We expected a pair of crocs to last. They fit him nice and we re easy to put on & take off. Unfortunately, the quality just isn t there and didn t hold up to light wear & use.

D. Michele, Bremen

Was going to send back because appeared too snug on my 1 1/2 yr-old's chunky calves (he wears an 8 sneaker), but he wore them everyday around the house and refused to take them off. Eventually he ripped the tags off so we are keeping, wish they were a 9.

P. Kellie, Bedfordshire says

Unfortunately, these seem to be made in a different factory from regular crocs. They are so flimsy that the first time my seven year old boy pulled them over his feet, the handles broke and also ripped the sides of the boots down around four inches.

W. Gloria, Schleswig-Holstein

I love these boots. They are very cute, and they are wide enough for my son s extra wide feet! but, they are pretty narrow around the calf, which pulls all of his pants up and bunches them at the top of the boot. Not very practical for keeping his little legs warm. And probably not very comfortable for him either.

C. Sharon, New Mexico says

My son wore these twice before they ripped right down the side (see picture). I'm returning them and will purchase something different.

K. Mays, East Sussex

I bought these two sizes larger (per suggestions i read in other reviews) and they were still too small! the foot bed would have worked, but my daughters calf would not fit into the opening. I was hopeful these would work, but i sent them back.

G. Watson, Enfield says

These boots are adorable, but they didn't work for my toddler. She's a thick girl with wide, big feet, and loves regular crocs. I wanted something for her to use in the garden and chicken coop, but these are so hard to get on and off! she also has a hard time walking in them, as they are not flexible at all.

U. Rebecca, Bromley

My 2yo son loves the color and is excited to wear them however the ankle shaft is incredibly narrow so it's hard to get his foot in and we can't tuck pants into the boots. Also because of the narrow ankle, walking in these us very difficult for him and he kind of waddles around and then falls. Unfortunately we threw away the box so we can't return.

O. Meyer, Sutton says

I'm thinking of returning these because my son, who has very narrow ankles keeps coming home with bleeding ankle bones, even when wearing with socks. I could tell as soon as i got these out of the box that the ankle area was incredibly narrow. I have a friend whose son got an earlier design of this same boot and it fit him perfectly and he does not have narrow ankles. She suggested that perhaps i got a size too small for my son, but the length of the foot of the boot seems perfect so i'm not sure. I have noticed with other crocs that we've purchased that they do run a bit small.

. Mahood, Wisconsin

I want to like these, but they are so narrow in the ankles, they cause rubbing and red marks on his ankle bones. They are super lightweight, don't fall off and very cute. Too bad.

B. Edna, Yukon Territory says

These rain boots are super lightweight compared to other brands we've tried, but as other reviewers stated, they are really tight around the legs. My 2 year old is tall and skinny, and we can't really tuck his pants into them, even pegged! if you had a girl who wore leggings, it would be no problem. In terms of shoe size, these fit the same as his nikes. We are keeping them despite the tight fit on the legs because it's the only rain boots he can walk in comfortably!

X. Claudia, Kirklees

These boots are cute, lightweight, my toddler seems to find them comfortable. However, they run a bit small, and are kind of narrow. My toddler actually has really narrow feet, so thats saying something. They're difficult to get on, and the ankle is too fitted to tuck pants into, resulting in muddy pants.

R. Cathy, Croydon says

Update 9/20/2017. They shrink. I couldn't believe my eyes, see for yourself in attached pictures, my daughter wears size 8, ordered 9 to last her longer, now she can't even put her foot into the ankle shaft! barely her toes, it's insane! had them for only four months! i had given these 5 stars before, now i'm changing to one star, so disappointed! . . *. Ordered a size up to last my daughter longer. These are great, i don't have to worry about water leaking in or anything. They're very light just like crocs clogs, my 4 y/o puts them on herself , very easy with the handles

T. Angela, Massachusetts

This boot is tiny. As in i thought someone sent me doll sized rain boots. I was excited to find little rainboots because her neoprene size 5 boggs are not waterproof and the waterproof boggs start at size 7. I ordered a size 6 for my one year old who wears size 5 or 5. 5 and they are smaller than her size 5 sneakers. They are also very narrow. So narrow that i couldn't even get them past her toes. I attached pictures comparing her size 5 sneakers to the size 6 boots.

Z. Franklin, South Carolina says

I give it 3 stars due to the fact that they do not look blue, but rather purple. I don't mind too much, but they are my son's and look a little odd. If you want blue, don't get blue as it is not blue.

V. Arnett, Lorraine

The other reviews are correct, crocs did a terrible job scaling the legs of these boots for chubby toddler legs. My girls are really petite still, one of them is only 10th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height and these are very snug fitting on her legs and i bought them a size bigger than they wear! they love them and want to wear them all the time, but i imagine they will be outgrowing them long before they are actually a true size 7 toddler (the size of the boots). They really should improve these as they are sooo much better than most of the other rain boots that have the really heavy soles that most toddlers will struggle walking with.

F. Walsh, Hillingdon says

Our 6 y/o boy got blisters today just from wearing them to get to school. He had long socks on. Blisters where on those inner ankle bones that protrude on both sides. So the boots are made too narrow around the ankle, where the ankle round bones protrude out. I was able to re-shape that part of the boots by warming up the rubber above stove flame (lowest setting, hold boot far above), while pressing with three fingers from inside outward, then pressing outward even harder while cooling the area off under cold running water. It might be safer to heat them up using a hair drier on hot setting and hold it close to the boot, then push the problematic area outward. See the "after" images. Good luck!

Y. Theresa, New Hampshire

I had high hopes for these, but was disappointed when they arrived. They were tight, and incredibly difficult to get on. We returned these for the lone cone children's waterproof rubber rainboots - much better.

. Neva, Birmingham says

He wore these to school one day and they ripped at the handle. Sorely disappointed. In every other way they were perfect.

L. Nancy, Suffolk

For some reason crocs in general have not fit my 1 year old's extra chubby feet. I almost feel like the dip that goes over the foot does not allow enough space for a chubby foot to slide in. Same problem with traditional crocs in size 3/4. I was very sad i had to return these boots (size 6c). But they work great for my 5 year old (size 13 big kid).

. Broyles, South Australia says

I ordered the correct size and they were way too small. I had to return. Later i saw somewhere it written that you have to buy a full size larger. Well it's great that it was posted, and it's my fault for not reading that. But why would a shoe company make shoes with wrong sizes! ? ! ? bizarre. I reordered with the correct size, and they work great-if overpriced.

J. Eva, Tennessee

I have loved croc shoes for our kiddos and i was hoping these boots would get our 14 month old son through a winter in washington state. However, they are really difficult to get on his round baby feet/legs and are too tight around his calves (cannot tuck any pants inside the boots and the boots leave red constriction marks on his skin). The toe to heel part fit fine, but the top/calf area is way to tight and it is struggle to get them on. My son is pretty average sized for his age (he isn't huge or overly chubby) so i think these boots are poorly designed for baby legs.

N. Patricia, Wyoming says

These actually broke the first week we had them

E. Fabian, Gateshead

Unfortunately these did not work for my 3 year old. Things to know before you buy:. - the rubber is a good croc quality. Unlike other cheaper boots that are 2-ply design, these felt like they would have lasted. My kid was breaking a pair of cheaper boots every month so i wanted something that would last. - however, the opening is narrower than standard rain boots like others mentioned. While they fit my kids' legs, the pants don't tuck into the boots, which kind of defeats the purpose of having rain boots to keep not only feet, but pant legs dry. - the dealbreaker was that they really hurt my kids legs in the shin area. Enough that we have to give them away.

. Anderson, Massachusetts says

I opted for the croc brand because of comfort, but these were less than desirable. Boots usually run big-these do not, so i would order a size up from what your little one is in, so they fit. They were difficult to get over my grand daughter's chubby little calf. She is 1. 5 yrs & weighs about 24lbs (size 2t). The boots are going back & i won't be getting croc's this time-i'll be sticking with something a little more traditional (maybe western chief). Also, even though they both are stamped 6c on the bottom, the right boot is noticeably larger than the left-by about half a size. We live in the northwest & boots are a must for our rainy/mud season-hopefully we find a good pair soon.
