This is my second pair of these. Had the first pair about 5 years before holes developed in the knees. This is my favorite pair of jeans ever. The only negative is they are now made in nicaragua, used to be made in usa. I fear the quality may have gone down and im not proud to wear something made out of country. Carhartt Men's Relaxed Straight Denim Five Pocket Jean B460 Review (b460 415)

They feel like they might last more than 3 months, which is what wranglers last for me. Good deal on here at online store, plus they had my size when most brick and mortar stores do not (40*36). Fit nicely. . It's great being a guy because our jeans usually fit as advertized and there's no need to try them on first. I couldn't imagine a woman buying jeans or any clothing on here because they have to try everything on first. And get the opinion of 6 of their friends. Lol -. Theresa

Carhartt Relaxed Straight Pocket B460 Apparel

  • The last pair of carhartt pants i bought were size 36, and they were a tad too snug for me. So, when i bought the next pair of pants from this brand, i opted to go the next (available size up), 38. And of course, that ended up being a little too big for my taste even using a belt. . I'm finding that carhartt's sizes are actually very accurate (i. E. 36 is 36 inches, 38 is 38 inches). So many other brands tend to add a bit extra above and beyond the listed waist size, it's nice to find that these guys are exactly the size they state. . Anyway, as stated, these jeans are nice. They're comfy and they seem like they're going to last. Other than the waist being a tad too roomy for me, the overall fit is just my thing. I'm now hooked on this brand, it's great to find pants with reasonable prices, that look nice, and that seem to be pretty rugged.
  • Thes are ok. The waist fit is great, but the 36" inseam versions are crazy long. I wear 36" in every other jean out there with great fit. So i was real hesitant to try something cut shorter just in case they are closer in that length. They hold up pretty well as work jeans however, and they are plenty comfortable.
  • These jeans are really tough and excellent quality. The rear-end area is missing quite a bit of "cut" or fabric, so your behind is going to slide out and it will feel very tight in the seat when you try to sit. The rest of the fit (legs, inseam, waist, pockets etc. ) is great.
  • These jeans look great, they are well made and the price is reasonable but, two problems. . I ordered relaxed fit jeans and what carhartt calls relaxed fit is far from a comfortable relaxed fit. There is no ball room. Sitting is tight and squatting is very tight. I thought a relaxed fit would be more like chinos. I thought comfort considerations would override looks and stylishness - particularly from carhartt. . I have been wearing 34x34 pants for over 60 years. The waist is fine and the inseam length is exactly 34, but the waist is just a bit low and the crotch is skin-tight. . Lest you think i am just fat, most people would consider me slender at 6' 3 and 183 pounds. I would like to weigh ten pounds less, but if i did, these jeans would still fit exactly the same. The belt line on these jeans is below one's real waist line. . The second issue is the depth of the front pockets. It is difficult to sit down in these jeans with a cell phone in your pocket or much of anything else for that matter. It is possible, but i must reach down and twist my phone to just sit down. I intend to have two inches added to the left pocket but, one inch would probably eliminate the problem. I have a nexus 6 phone which is larger than most, but it fits in chinos or suit pants with no problem. . If you are looking for stylish, skin-tight-in-the-butt jeans and don't carry a cell phone you will love these jeans. If you want comfort you won't.
  • Let me preface this with the fact that i wear a carhartt pocket t every day. It's my work shirt and my weekend shirt. It's about all i wear, and this time of year when i leave the house i grab one of 3 or 4 carhartt coats/jackets that i have. I like carhartt clothes. That said, i should have paid more attention to the "hip hugger" fit that another reviewer noted. I hate these pants and the way they fit. The ride way to low and aren't cut nearly high enough to ride over the hips, so they constantly feel like they're falling down. Which they in fact are.

These jeans look great and feel fantastic! . Soft and comfortable right out the package i will definitely order several more pairs as they are my new favorites! . I now know that with carhartt you get "more jean for less money" and we all love more for less.

Click to see NoticeCarhartt Men's Relaxed Straight Denim Five Pocket Jean B460 (b460 415)"These are work jeans, and that is immediately apparent when you first put them on. They're pretty heavy, and though i've only worn mine a few times i can see that they'll last a while. At least they feel like they will. . If you're looking for comfortable jeans that are soft and stylish, look elsewhere. These are no ag's of lucky's. . The size was a tad small, but nothing terrible as long as i don't gain any weight. I imagine they'll stretch but can't confirm that yet. . All in all, great work jeans. At this price you get durability with maybe a little style. Not high quality super-supple denim jeans that fit perfectly."

Carhartt Men's Relaxed-Fit Washed Twill Dungaree Pant

Pros comfortable, lots of pockets, and secure back pockets. Cons inconsistent sizing, short legs, and wide leg openings. . This are great pants. They are comfortable and i wear them around the house and to work. The legs are a little bit shorter than they should be but not a huge deal. I have ordered several pairs and can tell you that the sizing is inconsistent. Sometimes the waist is perfect and sometimes to big.

Carhartt Men's Relaxed-fit Washed Twill Dungaree Pant (b324 arg) FAQ.

The pants are comfortable for the most part, though the point where the legs meet at the crotch is somewhat lower than expected meaning i can't quite take as long of a step as normal without hte pants pulling, which was unexpected. -Notice from S. Anonymous, City of London

I have been wanting a pair of carhartt pants for some time. These fit very true to size so if you like your pants in the waist just a tad bigger then go up one size in waist. I just bought these and wore them and have to say i love them. They are a soft feel fabric and have enough pockets to hold your gear like cell phones; pocket knives; and multi-tools. They really are nice pants that from what i see can be used for semi-dress ocassions as well. I hope they don't shrink too much upon washing. They fit perfect right now like they were specifically made for me. I think you will like them.

Should have bought these before i ever started landscaping. Best pants on earth. Hold up to anything. Fit incredibly comfortable - no restriction of movement like jeans. I've got muscular legs that normally don't comfortable fit jeans, but these are great without being baggy. . You can wear them for days at work before having to switch to the next pair. I have 3 pairs now and never run out doing laundry once a week. Just hang them up after a day of work and put them right back on the next day with a little dirt on them, but these colors make it hard to see. Once they're noticeably dirty or get wet, i wear the next ones. . Have yet to notice any wear to any of my pairs after a few months of use.

- L. HannahI love carharrt's quality, but for some reason each color pant fits differently even though they are the same model. . Update: i contacted carhartt about the sporadic size differences for the same model (but different color). The representative was very friendly and helpful. They offed to inspect the pants and if there is an issue they will replace with new. If you want to send them back to corporate make sure you have all the details. Size, model, color that you will be sending back to them. . From experience the darker the color the tighter the fit. I don't know why this is.

I love the beige it is perfect the fit is perfect couldn't ask for a better pair of jeans then this.

I've been buying these pants for years! i'm a bigger guy and i have an active job, so i need something that allows me to really move and get around, with out being uncomfortable or tear easily. They hold up remarkably well and it's an easy buy for me and i recommend carhartt to anyone! i just finally pulled the trigger and bought me a pair of their shorts and a shirt, so i'm looking forward to continuing to add to my carhartt wardrobe.

They fit great, and are defiantly made to last. I have been threw many brands, and sizes of jeans over the year from both wally world, and jcpenny, and they either rip along the seam/crotch, or wear out pretty fast. I cant tell you right now, i think i would have to try to rip these pants. I plan on ordering a few more pair in the next month and just tossing all my other pants out.

P. Sheila, Sefton says

I was looking for some jeans to replace the current light weight denim jeans made by levis and wrangler and so far so good. I like a heavier durable jean for motorcycle riding and i plan on buying more as needed to replace my levis.

V. Jessica, Gloucestershire

After forty years of wearing levis, i'm done. The quality of levis have just gone to hell and the cost keeps going up. I've avoided buying carhartt due to the inflated cost at our local retailer but these are a great value for the quality you get compared to other brands. I'll definitely be buying more but a size larger. They are maybe a half size smaller than what i expected and it could be just how they ride so your experience may very. After two washes they haven't shrunk at all and fit as well as the day i got them.

Great fit, great quality, great jeans! true to size and length. Ordered both the dark and light color which were true to the colors depicted online. Carhartt relaxed fit jeans never fail me!

Q. Russell, Barnsley

Love these jeans. I have owned a pair of these for years and are over all my go to jeans over my levi or lee. Extremely durable and way more fitting and comfortable then the top brand. Just bought another 2 pair as they will replace my levi and lee. Still wearing my first pair i purchased well over 8 years ago and have no intention to donate them as they are still in very good condition. I was very surprised to find the new jeans are the same top quality of the old and very comfortable straight out of the bag.

H. Franklin, British Columbia says

Nice jeans, hold up well for work. Sizes on all carhartt jeans seem to run 1 size big, usually i am 32/32 with these i order 30/30.

N. Whiteman, Gateshead

I used to wear levis for years but when they changed their cutting methods i quit buying/wearing them. I think these carhartts are much better and are more reasonably priced.

E. Melissa, East Riding of Yorkshire says

I found these and ordered them for my husband to try. He normally wears levi's 560 comfort fit, but is open to trying other brands due to levi's price (and they aren't lasting as long as they used to). These carhartt seem like very good quality jeans. Good material, sewn straight. However, his experience with the fit was like many others. A little large in the waist and too tight across the backside. And he's an "off the rack" kind of build. Still giving them four stars just for the quality. I just wish they would come out with a "sits at the waist" and looser fit around backside and thighs.

. Elizabeth, West Berkshire

The waist and length fit as expected. Problem is i was forced to buy these "relaxed" jeans (i. E. Baggy) when cathartt apparently stopped making their non-relaxed, straight leg, 5 pocket jeans in light vintage blue. Now the only choices are deep stone (which i do not like) and the new dark vintage blue. I tried the relaxed model but they're not really to my liking, . Guess i'd better get used to dark vintage blue or find another brand.

R. Diana, Saarland says

(early april) i had just about given up on getting good quality long lasting jeans like were made many years ago by levi strauss. These carhartt jeans however are just what i have been searching for! like the old levi's they take a while to break in and soften up a bit, but then they wear like iron. A good quality product all around, they definitely live up to the carhartt reputation for high quality durable clothing. Now (may 21) after weeks of use, my opinion has not changed. I purchased these is early april, wear them about 3 days a week, and no sign of wear except a little normal blue jean fade. My only regret is that i will not be able to wear these out as i am steadily losing weight and they are getting a bit baggy! i will replace them with more carhartts when they get too baggy to wear comfortably! . (end of july) these are still going strong. I wear them about 2 to 3 days a week to get my wear out as much as possible. Still no signs of any significant wear, and they have softened to a very comfortable pair of blue jeans. Purchased another pair in one size smaller. This review could be for them also.

O. Shawna, Maine

After wearing levi's for most of my life i was happy to find carhartt jeans on online store. I have been familiar with the carhartt name and quality product for years so trying these jeans was a no brainer. True they are made to wear lower than most jeans. Not sure if this is for men with flat stomaches or severe done-lap disease. I have neither and find the fit comfortable. Wearing them lower does add the extra inch to the length. I am used to wearing my jeans low (not prison bait low but low) so i like the fit. Since they are made to wear low i dont' have all the extra material drooping down in the butt like my levi's. Also since there is not all the extra material in the butt my butt looked funny at first. It looks better now that the jeans are more broken in. The croch does not have all the extra material either, so keep that in mind. It takes some extra effort to make the croch more comfortable till you get them broken in real good. . I bought 3 pair at first and just ordered 3 more. These jeans seem to be made of better material and quality than my old levi's. I am allowed to wear jeans at work so they are washed at least once or twice a week. I had gone though 10 pair of levi's in the past 3 years (just not the quality they used to be). After several washings the carhartt jean have maintained most of their color and durablity. They are a lot cheaper per pair than levi's (even on online store) so there is some extra value to my purchase as well.

J. Rebecca, New Mexico says

Been using these for years. They seem to keep the size very consistent. Not always the case in clothing. It is nice to get them online. The local store does not always have them in stock.

S. Dorothy, Enfield says

Carhartt is one of those you get what you pay for but will own for a long time. Great pants. Its hard to find the right size at your local store when you live in a rural area. No more wasted trips only to find out there out of your size. Click, purchase and you have new pants in a day or two.

. Megan, Sachsen

I've worn levi jeans for literally decades. Over the last several years, i've migrated to carhartt shorts, shirts, and jackets. These items have always proven to be top-quality. So when the last several pairs of levi's i purchased were less than exceptional, i decided to try carhartt jeans. What a major difference in quality! carhartt jeans are much heavier weight denim. I'm a large guy (6'4", 240 lbs). I ordered my measured size. The jeans fit well and are comfortable. Perhaps the only suggestible improvement would be wider back patch pockets. Some larger items i carried well in the back pockets of my levi jeans hardly fit in the carhartt pockets. But, considering the improvement in every other area, the carhartt jeans are tops. Even better, the carhartt jeans were deeply discounted - and online store delivered quickly.

K. Cassella, Barnet says

I bought these as a valentine's day present for my husband. He had been wanting new jeans to replace the ones he had. He complained about the styling of men's jeans today with their low-rise, snug fit that were just plain uncomfortable (i. E. Old navy, abercrombie). Keeping this in my mind i noticed the carhartt name on his daily work pants, which he loves the fit and durability of and decided to try out their jeans. He absolutely loves them and say that they are one of the most comfortable pair of jeans he has worn in a long time. He requested that this style of jeans be the one he gets from now and put each color on his wishlist. From my point of view, they look real good on him in terms of fitting in all the right areas without being too tight in all the wrong places like previous jeans we had gotten. Plus, the fabric quality is thick enough to take a beating while working around the house, but not stiff that it is hard to the touch. I would highly recommend these jeans for the hard working manly man who wants to be comfortable while fixing things, but still look good.

U. Nicole, Birmingham

The jeans fit better than i expected and are gentle reminders i need lto get better and more consistent vat losing weight. They are comfortable in all aspects even with the testing i have been giving them.

G. Widmer, Kansas says

It's kind of my fault. I usually buy pants/jeans in stores after trying them on as i am very picky. Love the fitting all over with the exception to the butt area. It feels like the jeans keeps going up my butt. Solid quality though. Very very pleased with the quality. Will definitely get more once i am able to go to a store that carries them and try to find the right fit.

M. Lorenz, Trafford

They are jeans, they are carhartt, need we say more. Ten more words to get to the required length. Yes.

. Rowe, South Carolina says

These jeans fit me perfect. The quality of the material is just awesome. The material is thick and made like the ole school jeans were made. This is my first time trying these jeans. I will be making more purchases in the near future.

X. Connie, Brent

Great jeans. Only denim i'll put on besides levis. Both are , but these are actually stronger at same weight.

B. Teresa, Virginia says

Prior to buying carhartt, i had just destroyed a brand new pair of levis after one day of use (all it took was a minor bike wreck and they were destroyed past the point of repair). I've had my pair of carhartt jeans for a solid year and a half and they show no sign of failure. It was only recently that the ankle cuffs started to show some wear. The jeans come with a uniform dye job (no fake tears, or fade lines etc), and over the years these jeans have picked up the character of any over priced designer pair of jeans (the fades not the tears), except i earned it, and that means more to me because of it. This is the only brand of jeans i will ever buy. . Update. The color of these jeans is very different form what the picture shows. If you are looking at the deepstone, you should expect a much more faded color than what you see. For a more accurate representation of what these jeans really look like, go to the carhartt website and look at the exact same pair of jeans.

A. Pearson, Southwark

These are excellent jeans-build, style, and color are exactly what i wanted. More consistent than levis and just as stylish with better fabric, seams, zipper, and button. The cut is not like the heavy duck carhartt's so don't buy them looking for that. For any work or street use when lee or levi would be the right choice these are on the money. The legs are cut quite long, so a trip to your alterations person of choice might be in order-was for me, and i had her keep the factory hems intact, no prob.

T. Linda, Pays de la Loire says

The build quality feels really sturdy. Time will tell, but so far, very happy w/ the purchase. I've never been disappointed w/ any of the carhartt products i've purchased, & i'll continue to buy them

. April, Texas

These aren't as thick as i wanted but they are sturdy and will definitely outlast other brands that i have had to replace yearly. Fits well and minor shrinkage. Good value for the money. Unbranded was the only jeans i could find that were thicker but you could get 3 of these for the price. Levi's are just wasting money on a name anymore. They will be threadbare and torn in a year at 2-3x the price. Will buy another set of these. Would recommend.

W. Guest, Virginia says

I purchased these for my husband that works in construction. They are a very nice color and great quality. They are very thick and perfect for hard working men. I think these will last a long time. They are kind of stiff at first like any jeans are. After washing they loosened up. They fit great. I would buy these again.

Top /carhartt relaxed straight pocket b460 Review

Disadvantage and Critical reviews

. Anonymous, Lancashire says

I sent these back. I was expecting a better quality and value from carhartt. . I sense lately that their focus is elsewhere than their core base. . I didn't like the fit. . These i am sure will work if you are coming from other carhartt pants or maybe this is how they all are. . These were my first charhartt jean purchases and i should have tried them on at a store to see if i would have liked them prior to buying them. . Try before you buy. . The color was nice.

A. Fabian, Bath and North East Somerset

Item arrived promptly. The size was labeled as ordered with a 30" inseam, but was at least 2" too long. I can normally just pick up a pair of jeans in my size without trying them on, but these are being returned. The other issue i have is with the color. I usually order dark jeans, but i ordered these in light vintage blue, and the wash gives them a bit of a dirty look, which may appeal to some, but not to me. There are some slight brown undertones. This may have come out with some washing, but i'll never know as i had to return them. A couple points about the fit: they are tight in the seat, and a bit tight in the thighs - a bit too snug for a relaxed cut. I had a pair of carhartts several years ago, and these have basically the same cut and fit, including the issue with the length, so be aware before buying. If most jeans are a bit too baggy for you, these should be perfect. In terms of quality, i would call these average to good. They don't appear cheap, but are no better than my other jeans which are ll bean and dickies, both of which i prefer as they are cut to fit me better.

. Valdez, North East Lincolnshire says

Carhartt jeans became my new favorite jeans when levi's stopped making quality jeans that fit. However, i'm thinking that carhartt has followed suite. I have ordered the same style jeans from them and they all fit so differently. Their quality has tanked! if anyone knows of a quality jean company please let me know. I will try them!

B. Clara, Calderdale

I liked the price so i decided to give these a try. I normally fall in between a 46 and 48 waist. I've never had a problem with other brands. So i ordered up a couple 48's as jeans usually shrink a bit. Upon delivery i noticed one pair of 46's and the other 48. Ok, like i said i've squeezed into 46 before so i give it a shot. Wooaahh ! the 46's were more like a 42 and the 48's were more like a 46. I'm keeping the 48s. As though they're snug they'll do. The 46's are going to the salvation army. These are not a relaxed fit at all. They're snug and tight in the crotch. You ay want to try 2 sizes larger. The price was right but sizing is all messed up.

. Dorine, South Dakota says

I have actually found that these are not cut like other relaxed fit type jeans. They are a little tight, as i ordered the same size i normally buy with levi and there was a big difference in fit. They do still fit, it just does not seem like a relaxed fit like i expected. If you do like them baggy, i would recommend going with one size larger possibly. They do have a very durable feel to them, and i expect them to be long lasting as other carhartt items that i own. Overall they are a good pair of jeans, with very sturdy pockets (large enough to put an iphone 6 plus in ; ) ) and still be comfortable. I would recommend these jeans for anyone who is very tough on jeans, and love a good pair of durable denim jeans.

U. Benton, Wakefield

Normally i wear a 30" inseam, and the 28" still fit slightly longer than normal 30s do on me. Keep that in mind when you order. As far as quality goes, these are top notch! i purchased three pair total, two of the dark vintage blue, and one of the deepstone. The dark vintage blue looks just like vintage jeans used to, very dark to where you can see the grainy texture of the material (if that makes sense). I like the deepstone much better. Perfect for normal evenings out. . They are true to size in the waist, and are meant to be worn right at your waistline. If you wear your jeans at your belly button, aim for a different model as these will not have sufficient room in the crotch. The pockets are shallow and comfortable. The back pockets feel strongly stitched, so i'm not really concerned about holes instantly wearing in the corners like my last couple pair of wranglers. The color holds up well and the jeans don't really shrink much. I noticed that they stretch after wearing them around for a few minutes to always have this perfect fit! . . So far these jeans are great, but only time will tell just how strong they are. If there are any changes i'll update this review. But as of right now they are probably the best jeans i've purchased in years. The 4/5 star rating is simply because they aren't quite right in length. Just compensate when you order. . Update: so i've been wearing these for a year, and the material is still flawless. There are no signs of wear in the material, seams, or belt line. My main beef with this model of jeans is how short they are in the crotch. The fit is slightly uncomfortable, and being that they shrink a bit in the drier. It can be a nuthugging experience till they stretch out. For this reason i've lowered the rating a notch.

C. Wilson, Trafford says

There are good things about these jeans, but i am going to write it with two stars and elaborate. Also, i am going to compare these jeans to levi's 550's. Ok. I wear a size 38/30 in levi's. My wife complained that the levi's 560's were too baggy for me. So, i ordered a pair of 550's and these carhartt's to compare. The 550's do seem less baggy, but not much less, than the 560's. I wanted to try the carhartt's to see hwo they were, as i can't find them locally. . Carhartt has a plus. The fabric is sturdier(read that as thicker) than the levi's. Levi's have gotten cheap over the years. Carhartt's look like they will hold up better than the levi's. However, the problem i found with the carhartt's is that the rise is way to short. I need a longer/higher rise in jeans. The levi's 550's had as good a rise as the 560's. When i tried on he carhartt's, it felt as if i had just put on a pair of hip huggers.

. Broyles, Hawaii

Ordered january 19th, they fit great, a little big maybe but close enough, ripped along the seam today. I'm not doing any amazing stretches here, this is pretty much normal middle aged guy motion. I feel that the quality has taken a turn for the worse, which is too bad.

. Newell, Medway says

These were a great price, fit as expected, and arrived timely. The issue i had is with the quality. I purchased these for my construction working husband. Typically he can get a full year's worth of wear out of a pair of carhartt jeans, however this pair lasted only a few months. Fabric wore out around belt loops and formed holes. My guess is that it has to do with the 'relaxed denim' type fabric as all his work jeans are carhartt brand and this is the only pair that had this issue.

K. Cortney, Kentucky

I wear these for work, so i re-order them once or twice a year, as my old pairs wear out. Every time i order these jeans from the same product page i end up getting a different color and a different fit. I even use the "buy it again" option on my personalized online store page. I tried to replace my current pair (which i really like), but was sent a pair of baggie, dark jeans that i can practically swim in. This has happened several times now. . In short, you're better off going to the store where you can see the actual product and try them on, rather than waste your time going back and forth to the ups store.

. Hadley, North Dakota says

Ordered a pair identical to the pair i wore out. The legs fit great. The crotch was really, well, weird. Quite uncomfortable. I'm a pretty easy customer to please, but i had to send these back. Love prime. Made it easy to return. . The somewhat small designation really doesn't fit the problem either.

N. Kimberly, West Berkshire

Looks good and fit well in the waist. Pants length is at least 2" longer than most brands. I usually get 32" length, but that size was way too long. Re-ordered 30" and they were still a bit long, even after washing. The fly just doesn't stay up at all. I bought five pairs and they tend to fall down on all of them. I thought they would be a bit tougher, similar to other carhartt items, but they are average at best. I ripped a pair pretty easily on a thin piece of metal wall stud. The seams are much better put together than el-cheapo brands, but overall the material is not that thick or strong. I love the carhartt brand overall, but i am somewhat disappointed with these. I will wear the ones i bought, but am unlikely to buy again.

V. Theola, Nevada says

These seem rugged. They fit well. They look like they will last a while. Problem is, the fly does not stay up at all. I don't know if it's a cheap zipper or not. I don't have this problem with any of my non-carhartt jeans. I went out to lunch with some people on the first day wearing these, and realized (after the fact) that the fly was down the entire time. Kinda embarrassing. Pulled it back up took a few steps and it started working it's way down again. Otherwise, i like the jeans (and the price) very much, maybe if i rig a loop into the zipper tab and hang it on the button? i'm reluctant to order another pair. Looking (belatedly) through other reviews i see that other owners are having the same issue.

S. Susana, East Riding of Yorkshire

These run small in the waist and the inseam is a little on the long side although i've found that to be an issue with all jeans and they vary depending on the manufacture. One other thing is that they are really heavy material. For me this is a negative because i'm not outside doing work all day. If you were and the temperatures were not summer-like then these may be exactly what you're looking for.

. Stacey, Hillingdon says

I bought these pants for my son for christmas. He only wore them for a few days when the belt loop ripped and the back pocket split open. After i paid to have them fixed he was stepping up on a ladder when the crotch ripped open about 12 inches. These are poorly constructed pants and i would never recommend anyone buying them.

H. Bullock, Warrington

Worst fitting jeans i have ever bought. . I have worn the same size pants for nearly 15 years- every brand i buy except carhartt. They run small i have to buy a size larger than normal. . Secondly, these pants have a very odd cut to them. They are supposed to be relaxed, but its a if they made normal waist and hips and put baggy legs on them. I know what a relaxed fit jean should feel like and these aren't it!

D. Alice, Australian Capital Territory says

My husband was worn carhartt jeans for years. Recently they changed the cut. They now sit too low - come on carhartt - go back to making jeans for the working man. My husband has been looking for another jean to replace carhartt - no luck. We wish they would go back to the original cut.

O. Elizabeth, Illinois

I have a habit of ordering 2 or 3 jeans at a time and there is always some small size differences. This last time i ordered 3 pairs of 33" and all are labeled 33" but 1 fits tight in all parts (like a 31 slim leg), the 3rd pair fits like a 34" extra baggy and the last pair (i'll call the goldilocks pair) fits exactly like they should and like most of my other b460 carhartts. I have noticed a trend with my carrhartts, the quality control in sizing has gone out the window

L. Julie, Westminster says

I love me some carhartt jeans but the ones i got online have not lived up to the name. I have a pair of 38x32's that feel great they are just a bit long. I couldn't find and 38x30's in the store so i bought a pair online. Same style and everything. When they got here i was pumped but after waiting them once they didn't feel right. I washed them a few times to soften them up but they still do not fit the same as the others. Still love my carhartt's, just have to go to the store to get them to make sure they fit good before buying them.

Y. Hayward, Nebraska

I purchased these exact jeans from online store. Com 2 years ago. I clicked the 'reorder' button expecting to receive the same pants, but i was sure wrong! the 'new' version of these pants do not fit anywhere close to the pants i purchased 2 years ago. I purchased 4 pairs and each one fit differently. One pair only came half-way up my hip while the next 3 i was able to button but there were so tight it was like wearing "ymca" pants. Get my drift? :-). In addition, 2 of the pairs of pants were long, very long. In comparison to both my old pants from 2 years ago and 2 of the pants that were ordered. You can tell that quality control is non-existent at the mexican plant where these were made. . I am very disappointed and will now need to search for pants that are reliably sized.

I. Margaret, Berlin says

I have bought these exact model and size jeans before and they fit great, but my recent purchase was disappointing. They fit poorly. Normal at the waist, but bunched up just below the waist band, kind of sticking out at the pockets. I wonder if they shifted to a lower quality manufacturer overseas or elsewhere. It is a shame, because i have always like the fit and durability. I probably wont buy them again on line. Online store was great about the return though.

Q. Cecilia, Slough

Not sure what has happened with carhart's size chart, but this is the 2nd pair recently that are significantly longer inseam than the size i ordered. And that is not a fault of online store, as they are tagged in the size i ordered. They are about 1-1. 5" longer than the listed inseam. Plus they recently changed their zipper, feels a bit cheaper too. Thankfully the denim weight is the same as is the stitching of all the seams.

F. Irene, Leeds says

First purchase of a carhartt product, can't say i'm overly impressed. They're comfy, slightly thin material (will it last? ). The seams don't line up very well so this makes it difficult to get a good looking crease on the occasion that i want to iron them. The 5th pocket is much too small and tight to be of much use (i like to put my car key fob in there so it won't scratch my cellphone, but can't with this tiny pocket). Probably won't purchase any more jeans of this type from carhartt.

. Whiteman, Wyoming

After wearing carhartt jeans and the b11 pants for years the waist size is so inconsistent and sadly wrong now. I always wear a size 38 waist. After ordering 2 pair the sizes are all too small. I order the third pair in size 40 waist thinking this should definitely fit . It turns out the size 40 is the same or more snug than the size 38 . So sad that it has come down to being "imported" . Very disappointed in carhartt . Get your act together and sew from the correct pattern or sew the correct label on .

R. Florence, Portsmouth says

I usually buy ll bean jeans, but decided to try these carhartts. I won't be back, but my reasons may not make sense for you, in which case these could be very good value. . The good:. Apparently high quality, tough material. Fit is generally as expected. Nice large belt loops. Hip pockets a good size. Front pocket material apparently very good. Price quite reasonable. . The bad (for me):. The "rise" (distance from crotch to belt) is a little shorter than i like. The watch pocket is tiny: both short and narrow. Won't hold what i usually store there. . The odd:. The cloth that has the zipper embedded, and the pocket material are "carhartt brown". That's perfectly acceptable: it doesn't show; but it looks odd as you put on your pants. I might grow to like the effect, i suppose, if the pants fit just a little nicer on my body. . The color as illustrated online is accurate. Don't know how these will be after many washings (i'm sure it will fade at least some), but for now the color is as expected. . Bottom line: i believe the quality is excellent, but they skimped a little bit on the watch pocket which matters to me; and they skimped a little bit on the rise. If your body is a little tighter than mine, and if you don't use the watch pocket, then you might find these to be excellent value.

M. Taylor, Birmingham

Somewhat disappointed after all the hoopla about what great jeans these are supposed to be. I wore them for three days, but they did not match description as far as fit. Legs okay, but these are almost like hip-huggers rather than the "carhartt's hardworking jean boasts a higher rise for coverage while the relaxed, straight fit provides unrestrictive movement. " that this quote says. They either are below the waist since the rise is definitely not higher, or if i try to get them over hip bone my voice goes up an octave or more. We'll see how they hold up to normal wear and tear, but so far they aren't even close in comfort to the brett favre, drew brees relaxed fit wranglers i buy for half the price. . I suppose they could have sent a mis-matched style rather than what i ordered, but the tag said "relaxed fit". That's the only problem with buying on-line, you don't know until they get there. Then it's too late.

J. Watson, Lewisham says

I really like carthartt clothing and i like how their jeans feel tougher than most other brands. I bought two pairs of these at the same time, and the stitching at the waist started unraveling on one pair within a month, so that the waistband portion is separating from the rest of the jeans. Obviously, i stopped wearing them and plan to repair them with a sewing machine, but it is disappointing that new jeans did that. I have numerous other articles of carthartt clothing, and they have all held up perfectly, so this one incident will not sway me away from the brand in the least, but i have to tell it like it is.

G. Angelica, Rhode Island

I have only bought carhartt for years and it was time to retire some of my old jeans. I was surprised when i received these how much lighter and thinner than my old jeans they were and now after only 5 months, every pair i bought have developed holes on the top inside of each rear pocket and at least 1 belt loop has detached leaving a large hole. Not just 1 pair but every pair i bought. My old carhartts lasted me nearly a decade, these didn't last 6 months.

Z. Cassella, Ealing says

Had three pair i purchased and 2 of the 3 ripped near the zipper all the way around to the wait in the back. This happened after 2 months of wearing them in an office environment a couple times a week. I don't understand why these jeans are doing this? i have worn carharrt products for 20 years and no issues. They fit me plenty loose. I called car harry and they are sending a pick up box prepaid to check them ones i didn't throw away out by their failure analysis people i guess? not normal wear and tear in my opinion. I have caraharrt jeans that are 3 years old and still going. These are not up to caraharrt standards. Try again carharrt.

T. Josephine, Nebraska

I guess i was expecting a level of sturdiness from carhartt that you don't get from store brands or lower end work jeans. I was disappointed to find that the knees are getting worn through after maybe a couple of months. My husband has had other brands (dickies, levis) that have lasted years without a problem. I'm hoping that ours is a rare occurence, but i have my reservations now of buying any further carhartt brand products.

E. Pamela, Utah says

The material is good and thick but i bought the same size of carhartt's that were a good fit but these are way to long. 34 length is more like 38 long and they are very baggy. I use them for working but can't keep them on at home because they are too baggy and heavy.
